Hi Stiofan, Thanks for your support. This solution is good enough for me for now.
I can’t say I agree with you that the Weaver theme “sucks”. I think (at least for it’s supported functionality) it is a very good theme. Technically I do not have any opinion on whether this kind of stuff should be done in JS or in CSS. But (as a non web programmer) I think these are architectural/technical decisions/choices.
Anyway … thanks again for the solution. RonaldThis reply has been marked as private. This reply has been marked as private.Hi Stiofan, I’m not allowed to give you access to this specific site, however I will bring live a test site shortly and come back to you then. Ronald
Hi Stofian, I’ve played around with my Weaver II Pro theme settings. The only options within the theme settings which renders the menu bar again is the one to “disable mobile support”. This option effectively will shrink the sizes of the sidebars and content areas, but will otherwise not be responsive or stack sidebars.
For the time being this is acceptable for me, however I think this issue should be resolved by GD itself. Hope to here from you.
Regards, Ronald BrinkHi Paolo, The text displayed within the browser’s tabs was indeed caused by settings within the “WordPress SEO” plugin. I was able to adjust these settings.
Thanks for your hint! Problem solved.
RonaldAnyway, Stofian, I will have a look at Weaver settings as well !
Hi Stiofan, Still not getting your point, because menu-bar does appear on mobile phone when disabling the GD option! So neither the theme (which is Weaver II Pro by the way) nor any plugin (which I’m not using to my knowledge) is causing this. At least not in my opinion. I think it’s caused by GD. Ronald
Hi Stiofan, Think I’m missing your point!?! First of all I’m not using WP multisite. Secondly I’m not sure what you mean by “the mobile menu” As explained as soon as I enable the GD=>Design=>Home=>Geodirectory home page option the menu bar is not rendered on mobile phones anymore, while it is when this option is disabled. So I don’t think that has anything to do with “mobile menu”?!
Hi Guust,
I’ve added WP admin > Settings > General at Site Title which I can live with for the Home page. The other setting do not have any effect. The weird thing is that for example when I choose Noordholland menu-item, the tab is showing Noordholland Archief (Archive in english) I don’t want the word Archief in it.Well I just did find something else. When updating the GD plugin I do loose my translation file! Do I have to copy that file into another WordPress folder or should GD keep that file during it’s update proces?
Hi Stiofan and Guust,
Now this issue is completely resolved as I have made myself a language file (with Loco Translate plugin) through which I’ve made the translations for the entry-box and selection list. Thanks so far! Regards, Ronald BrinkHi Stiofan, The thing that was fixed is that the default setting (in my case KM) is indeed now showing up. However the selection list right under the map is still showing “Driving, Walking etc.” in English as is the area where I can enter my postal code, which shows “Enter your location” How can these things be translated?
Anyway, thanks for the quick fix. I hope the above can be resolved as well.
Ronald
I’m sorry Guust, that is not the solution in my case because I did already set these values to KM. And for me that doesn’t translate anything.
@purpleedge, Thanks a lot, this helped me out!
