Hi Kiran,
Thanks for sorting that out – looks good now!
Cheers,
AndrewSilly me didn’t realise I could set a parent category … I will play around with it. Lucky I’m still in dev stage.
Thanks!
AndrewAll good. Reason I set them up as different post types is because I wanted a way to have 2 tiers of categories – 1 more general set, and 1 more specific set (e.g., Accommodation > Apartments). I know I could have used 1 post type with categories as the general set, then used tags as the specific set, but I did want more segregation …
Thanks either way!

Glad to help! And thanks for sorting that issue out for me 🙂
I still have one (perhaps related?) issue – I tried importing a set of listings for each of my post types, however it didn’t work correctly as they are not visible in either the front or backend. Strangely though, they’ve been counted in the total count of listings for each post type.
For e.g., in my ‘Accommodation’ post type – it states ‘All (99)’, however only 30 or so are visible (these coincide with the dummy data I generated). See the attached image.
Any ideas why this is happening?
Thanks again,

Thanks for that – I updated those files as per the instructions and placed them in the directory /wp-content/languages/plugins/, however still had no luck.
I then reverted my changes back and tried using the ‘Loco Translate’ WP plugin to make the translations, however they’re still not being reflected on the site.
Do I need to restart any plugin/service or anything like that to enforce changes?
Thanks for your help and sorry for the hassle!
AndrewHi Alex,
I tried following those instructions, but I couldn’t seem to find a simple explanation of changing the source English text … I ended up just modifying the “geodirectory-en_US.po” file (https://ayecode.b-cdn.net/public_html/wp-content/plugins/geodirectory/languages/geodirectory-en_US.po) which contained the strings that I wanted to change, however it made no difference on the live site.
Could you give me more info on how to update the 2 strings:
“Post received, your listing may need to be reviewed before going live, you can preview it %shere%s.” and
“Post received, your listing is now live and can be viewed %shere%s.”Thanks!

Thanks for that! Subscribed.
Great, thanks for the link, I’ll keep an eye on it. How will we know when a new release is available?
This reply has been marked as private. That’s the one! I’m having an issue with css (I think) as I can’t actually click the other post type buttons. I will provide my credentials in a private message below as it may help you to login.
(Edit: ignore the login screenshot – accidentally attached that one)
