Ok, problem: I just made a test free listing, and attempted to upgrade it. It won’t upgrade to anything but ONE package. No matter what I choose, it chooses the first package on my list. The $180 one. Nothing else will work. So even if my customer CAN get to the point of getting the cart to work…it’s not going to let him pick the $20/month option he wants…

Testing this out finally…
Strange…on my iPad it looks pretty clear. And it’s not a resizing issue, because resizing this on my desktop down to a small size and it still looks like crap.
The issue isn’t new listings. The issue is that I have an existing listing sitting there that didn’t get a payment because I didn’t have Paypal turned on yet when he submitted it. It was in test mode, so no payment was processed. Now that I have Paypal set up properly, I cannot figure out how to get it to trigger.
I took his listing back down to free and told him to go and click upgrade, but he says it won’t take him to Paypal.
What now?
I know I could just send him a separate Paypal invoice, but it won’t be a subscription that expires…and even if I did manage to set up a subscription for him, it won’t be tied to his listing. Is there a way to manually do this?
Ok, this isn’t working. I have Paypal enabled properly now, as far as I can tell…and it’s not sending him to Paypal when he logs in and clicks upgrade. What do I do now? I can just bill him via Paypal but I know that won’t be connected to GD and the subscription that will need to be renewed in a month when this runs out…I don’t want to make more work for myself…but can’t seem to figure out how to trigger the system to start from scratch.
Ok, I think I’ve got it narrowed down that this might actually be either UsersWP or UsersWP recaptcha…in which case, I’m super surprised that NO ONE else here has noticed this issue because aren’t an awful lot of us using these plugins?? I think it might actually be the recaptcha.
Just learned that this plugin is actually made by the same people that made GD?
I checked with my host. They have no issues, everything is working fine on my end and theirs. They can’t get this issue to happen when they log in with my credentials! This is driving me MAD!! It happens to me no matter what device I use in my house! I have yet to have a chance to test it when I am out and about on other wifi.

I just did a close look at my tags…it appears it is not showing the tags with just 1 item in them? 45 is 2 and up. I actually would like to eliminate all the 1s anyway…but until I am able to sort through all those, is there a way to show even the tags with just 1?
Problem: That tag cloud only shows 45 tags. How do I change that to show all tags? I have 95 tags currently (although I’m working on cleaning them up). I want to keep my tags tidy and show ALL.
Ummmm, ok so now when I click “view all” on the home page, it takes me to my new events-page, and NOT to the default archive page with the map on the side? WHAT?? I did not reset it to do this.
Let me clarify what I want: On the homepage, click “view all” under the events widget, should take to the default events archive page (the one that has the map on the right side…it’s the default one, I didn’t create this)…and when the MENU ITEM “events” is clicked in the top menu, it should go to the page with the slug “events-page”, which has NO MAP on it, is 3 columns of upcoming events cards, and no “view all” link.
Hope that’s clear.
I don’t know WHAT is happening here that it keeps resetting things! Now, for some reason, if you try to go to https://fresnofamily.com/events it redirects you to https://fresnofamily.com/events-page and I did NOT set this anywhere to do this, nor do I want it! The events slug should show the page with the map on the right side, events cards on the left.
Clearly I’ve made something conflict somewhere…but heck if I know what!
Ok, I don’t know what I did differently, but it seems to finally be working. I went in again and changed the slug of my events page to events-page so that it doesn’t interfere with the events archive pages… and now the page seems to show properly. It wasn’t before. It kept forwarding to the other page. But I have tried it a bunch of times now and it seems to be holding now. *shrug*
NO IDEA what changed. But hey, it works now! And now I know how to change the template pages, should I decide I’d like to do that, THANKS!! I didn’t know about that before! Handy to know.

But I don’t want a new page for the “view all” option…I just want a separate page for people to see events fill the page without the map, accessible via an “events” page link in the top menu….if that makes sense.
I figured maybe it needed to be called something else because the “view all” option probably used “events” slug, but even a different slug got forwarded to the “view all” page (“events”) so it doesn’t seem to matter what slug I use.
The weird thing is the new page DID work for a little bit, with the different slug…and then after going back and forth editing for a bit, it started forwarding to the “events” slug page where there is a map in the sidebar (which I believe is the gd archive page?)
Ok, I guess that makes sense. Although occasionally I post something that I later figure out and don’t need the answer to anymore. Although I do usually try to put the answer to my question in there so that if anyone else goes searching, they can find it. Or I can find it again in my history (if I forget how to do something). So I guess it is still helpful. Just sometimes it would be cool to be able to delete. But whatever. 🙂
