    Hello!

I’ve installed your core plugin on a shared hosting. I would like to get few clarifications:

    1. What does “CPT” stand for?
    2. What’s a shortcode?
    3. On an average, how many listings GD can cater to on a shared hosting? Most listings won’t have any images or videos and I don’t expect over a few thousand visits in a month or so. And I’m only looking for a reasonable speed …nothing great.
    4. Can I adjust single location plugin to any default location? I set it to Mumbai/Maharashtra/India as a default location. But it still shows Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, United States in its address! Do I need a multi-location plugin to change the default to some other city? I’ve tried disabling Maps but that didn’t help.
    5. GD Status shows a “Page does not contain the shortcode.” message on Add listing page. Is that normal?

    Thanks!

    2. What’s a shortcode?

Have a look at GD > Settings > Default location, or run the setup wizard.
You can change the default to any “city” but if you want listings in more than one “city” you will need the Location Manager addon.

You will need to add the correct shortcode to the Add Listing page:
GD > Settings > Pages > Add Listing > Edit
    See image

    Thanks

    Thanks for the answers.
    1. However the answer to No. 3 doesn’t help much.
Can you tell me few examples like what’s the maximum no. of listings (with minimal details / load) that a GD script has/can support on a shared server?

    2. I had already set the default shortcodes for Add Listing page. But still I get the address as “Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, United States”. Now I’ve again enabled the Maps and added a new listing. The new listing comes with the right address but the old listing still has that US address despite I tried to edit and update its address. However I can always see the correct address in the Address Tab for listing details. This is quite strange! WIll I need to delete this listing and add it again?

    3. Also, I always encounter the “We cannot determine this address” kinda notification whenever I click on Set Address on Map button when adding/editing a listing. So the map feature can’t show the exact location. If I try to set the location on map manually, it changes the detail in address box too (and that I don’t want). I’m using OSM API and not the Google Maps.

    4. Do you have a full refund plan for add-ons / Membership packages, in case I encounter some problem in their functionality and that could’t be solved by the support team?

    1. Choose a host where you can easily upgrade. You can probably add a few thousand listings but the site will be very slow. It depends too on other plugins you have, and what type of shared hosting plan you are on. Not all shared hosting is the same.

    2. Edit the listing, and reset the address and the map. That should fix it if you have set the default location correctly.

    3. There can be a few reasons for that. The API does not know the address, or the API is not correctly authorised for your site. OSM typically will give more errors and has less data.

    4. There is a 30 day full refund policy: https://wpgeodirectory.com/refund-policy/

    Thanks

    Okay, thanks for the info!

However answer to point 2 didn’t work at my end. Will look at it later.

As for point 4, I made a payment against buying a subscription using your promo code through Paypal but haven’t received any confirmation email from you guys. How much time does that take for it?

I’ll set this to resolved for now.
Just open a new topic if you need more assistance.
    Thanks
