First up my apologies if this is in the wrong section however:
1. I am fed up with trying to find a New Topic button on any other page;
2. I am fed up with reading that I do not have a license for this product when My Account Page reads ***************************13cc2 under the word Licence Key
3. I am heartily frustrated at trying to follow instructions that I have found relating to theme and demo content. It appears that many years building WP websites for clients has not taught me much…so…
Could someone please help me out and point me in the right direction to fix these issues or, as a last resort, help me out with a refund.
The site looks great for my needs but I really need some advice.
June 26, 2019 at 5:56 am #494857Hello,
what can we help you with?
June 26, 2019 at 6:55 am #494861Hi Alex…simply I cannot get the installation done. I cannot find the demo content for the site. I am unsure if the Genesis framework should actually be activated. If it does I cannot get it to activate?
I have not been asked to insert my licence number upon installation.
Something is not working right and I cannot work it out.
I have tried following the instruction pages but what I am seeing does not seem to match what is in the dashboard. Totally confused I am afraid. Maybe I need more whiskey??
June 26, 2019 at 7:51 am #494868OK, let’s see here.
For the license, you would need that for the GeoDirectory theme only, or for the addons for GeoDirectory.
If you have not yet installed the addons, you can add the license in the menu
WP Backend – GeoDirectory – Extensions – MembershipThen install the addons from the extensions page.
Otherwise use these instructions:
https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs-v2/addons/installing-addons/#licensingYou will need the Genesis framework installed, but your GD theme should be the active theme.
If we need to take a look at your settings, please share WP Admin in a private reply.

You have the option to enter them through the setup wizard too.
Let us know if you need further help.
Thanks

The instruction are still in the old docs: https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/geo-travel-genesis-child-theme-overview/
We’ll transfer them as soon as possible.
Thanks for your patience,
June 27, 2019 at 12:12 am #495039All good thanks for the help. I will follow the link you sent me and see where it leads.
June 27, 2019 at 12:32 am #495043Sorry about this but I am running into similar problems again…
The instructions you sent me read
GeoTravel Child theme works best when the WordPress Site’s Home page is set to a different page as “GD Home”, the home page of your GeoDirectory directory. To set this up on your site, the same way the demo works:
Go to GeoDirectory > Permalinks > GD Home and choose a page as your directory homepage. By default this is set to a page called “GD Home” but you can set it to any page you like.
I cannot find this link under geodirectory and there is no page in the site called GD Home.
June 27, 2019 at 12:37 am #495045I have also noticed further down the instructions state:
To setup your site to match the demo, add the following elements on your site.Dummy Data
Add dummy data to populate the widgets on the home page. You can skip this if you already have listings on your site.Go to GeoDirectory > General > Dummy Data
Adjust: Select 10 or more.
Insert dataI cannot see anything to adjust
June 27, 2019 at 12:40 am #495046Hello,
Can I recommend you try out our new Whoop theme?
One of the advantages of Whoop is that after you install Directory Starter, and then activate Whoop, you run the setup wizard and you are done.
You can do the same with Directory Starter or Supreme Directory.
For GeoTravel, you will need to create a “Front Page” – See instructions here:
https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs-v2/geodirectory/getting-started/front/June 27, 2019 at 12:56 am #495047Hi Alex…
OK…but can I get the same sort of layout regards the look of the site AND how do I go about getting the licence for Whoop AND is there a cost difference?
What I am looking for is a way to get all of my people on the front page…I guess widgets still apply for that?
June 27, 2019 at 1:13 am #495051Whoop has a different layout.
https://wpgeo.directory/whoop/
Other demos are here: https://wpgeo.directory/
Whoop is free, you can get it here. Make sure you install directory starter, the parent, theme, too.
https://wpgeodirectory.com/support/topic/whoop-v2-beta-download/#post-493752
When you edit the front page, you can add “GD Listings” as a shortcode using the shortcode builder.
Set it to show 3000 posts or whatever you need.
https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs-v2/geodirectory/shortcode-builder/June 27, 2019 at 1:41 am #495055Looking good will try whoop.
Any recommendations on how best to get a refund on the Travel theme?
