Hi,

I’ve been receiving emails from Google about their upcoming change to Google Maps on June 11, 2018 where they will start charging for usage of their map API.

Here is the link to their new pricing structure effective June 11, 2018 https://cloud.google.com/maps-platform/pricing/sheet/

Can someone please take a look at this and tell if the type of Google Map API that is being used in your Directory Theme falls into one of the pricing plans or if the map calls will remain free based on how your theme calls up the maps…?

And if it does fall into one of the paid API calls, which of these other alternative maps can be used with your theme https://www.makeuseof.com/tag/google-maps-alternatives/ …?

Please explain.

Thank you Alex! One quick follow up question after reviewing the information on this page https://wpgeodirectory.com/google-maps-platform-changes-directory-developers/

If we have multiple API Map Keys generated under the same Google account (one for each website), does this new change total up the number of Map calls cumulatively for all sites combined under the one Google account or does it separate each API’s map calls setup under the same Google Account?

Please explain.
