How can I change the “website” link text to show full web address? This happens on my supplier listings under the tabs and is happening for their Instagram too. Id like it to display their IG Name not just say “Instagram”
The images that i upload on supplier listings aren’t loading fully on the slideshow. They dont display the images in a rolling, timely slideshow – how can this be resolved? They also chop a lot of the images off – for example, the head of a person doesnt show in the image box and it looks so unprofessional.
3: Some of my suppliers have been able to register and create their own listings, whereas a lot of others are having a lot of trouble with this – why is that?
4. I also need to know how to add a ‘pinterest’ button to my supplier listing images so i can pin them to my boards.
April 16, 2020 at 8:48 am #540556Also, the imagee file size is 2mb – how can i make this larger? So many of my images cant be uploaded!
April 16, 2020 at 11:55 am #540581Hi Amy ,
1. For full web addresses , you can refer to this article https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs-v2/places/custom/#url
2. Where can I see the slider issue? Could you share the URL of the page in question?
3. Make sure this option is checked https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs-v2/geodirectory/account-management/#wp
4. This would require customization or 3rd party plugins.
5. You will need to change the setting at
GD > Settings > Show Advanced > Max upload file size(in mb)April 16, 2020 at 1:47 pm #540628Hi,
1. I’ve read the article link you sent me and don’t understand a thing!!
2. Here’s my website link – https://designmywedding.net/places/hire-my-decor/#website
the images have been cropped heads off etc and the slideshow doesn’t operate properly.April 16, 2020 at 8:15 pm #540758Hi Amy,
Thanks for your reply.
1. To clarify again, are you trying to display the full URL address of the Website link?
2. You can use the custom CSS code below to achieve this. Insert into WP > Appearance > Customize > Additional CSS.
.geodir-image-container ul.geodir-images li img { object-fit: contain; }
April 17, 2020 at 7:36 pm #5409371) yes i would like the full URL link to show instead of the word ‘website’ how do I achieve this?
2) Where do i put this coding please?
3) Under ‘Places’ – ‘add new’ – the form has changed and the location manager map is not displaying and the other tabs for website and social media fields are gone!!!! I cannot list my suppliers in the same way as i’ve been doing before as so many fields arent there!
4) On some supplier listings, their fb icon, Twitter icon and location icon show, whereas on others, nothing shows — how do i keep this consistent so all supplier listings show the same icons on their listing page?
I am so frustrated with all the troubles Im having with Geodirectory and support not helping me resolve my issues at all. Im strongly considering leaving and choosing another company as I dont know what else to do here!

A. Add the code snippets plugin – https://wordpress.org/plugins/code-snippets/
B. Install this PHP snippet https://wpgeodirectory.com/support/topic/display-url-instead-of-text-for-fb-instagram-etc/#post-4006342.
In the WP Custmizer
WP Backend – Appearance – Customizer – Additional CSS3.
If we need to check the settings please share credentials in a private replyWordPress Credentials
WP Admin Login URL:
WP Admin Username:
WP Admin Password:4.
Badges/Icons show when the fields have values. These are social links.
You may be thinking of ‘social share’ – GD doesn’t do that, you can get a 3rd party plugin from WP.org to do that.GD has an incredible number of options, but, we are here to answer your questions so keep ’em coming.
April 18, 2020 at 11:42 am #541079Thank you so much – I really appreciate this support! Everything has worked and I’m very grateful except the image slideshow. I have entered the coding into the WP Backend – Appearance – Customizer – Additional CSS and entered this – .geodir-image-container ul.geodir-images li img {
object-fit: contain;
}
but nothing has changed. The images on the slideshow still aren’t rolling well onto the next image. Take a look … https://designmywedding.net/places/the-bridal-box-boutique/Thanks,
AmyApril 18, 2020 at 11:49 am #5410801. Also, is there a way for me as the administrator to moderate my supplier listings before they go live on the website?
2. Suppliers are entering in their name and email address but I cant seem to locate all this data. Is there a place where all this information is stored that I can access as it would be good to send out mass emails to all my suppliers but i currently cannot do this as I dont know where their info is stored.
Thank you
April 18, 2020 at 2:07 pm #541089On my website, I have a dropdown box called ‘account’ – https://designmywedding.net/
and under this, I have Register, Login, create your business listing, user list item, profile, users ad GD archieve item. Im not entirely sure what all these pages are used for and as an admin i dont think I can access them all.
I have had a lot of suppliers ask if they can edit their listings once they’ve published it and I haven’t known the answer here – can they? If so, how?Thank you – sorry about all the questions and thanks in advance for the help.
April 18, 2020 at 10:32 pm #541146Please share a screenshot of where the images are not right. They look ok to me when I checked, and the slideshow works as expected.
1. Use the Pricing Manager to set a different status for paid listings.
Second to last field here “Post status”
https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs-v2/places/packages/2. Name and Email is from the add-listing form? at the top? That is saved in the user information WP Backend – Users – Edit user
You can add custom fields tot he listing if you want to capture more information in the listing
https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs-v2/places/custom/3. Use the WP Menu system to control your menus:
https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs-v2/geodirectory/navigation/4. Complete the UsersWP Integration to create profiles where the listing owners can access and edit listings
https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs-v2/integrations/userswp/5. Add the GDAuthor Actions widget to the sidebar of the GD Details page to give your https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs-v2/geodirectory/account-management/#author-actions
April 19, 2020 at 11:31 am #541210Hey,
Thanks for that – still struggling with how users can edit their listing once its published – they are able to ‘login’ but unsure how to edit their listing .
Also, just paid for the payment manager and when ive tried to download it, it says that Geodirectory cant be found and therefore the payment manager isnt loading on – but geodirectory is activated so im confused
Thanks again
AmyApril 19, 2020 at 2:58 pm #541238I can’t find the Geo pricing manager anywhere despite me installing it successfully now. I need to create prices for packages etc
April 19, 2020 at 4:38 pm #541250I’ve realised the route of the problem is that once I installed the plug in – pricing manager i was never directed to the pricing and payment option and Geodirectory hasnt registered that the plug in is there.
April 20, 2020 at 3:11 pm #541387Hi Amy,
