I am having the same issue as these two others are. GeoDirectory is installed. I verified that the folder is indeed GeoDirectory via FTP. When I go to activate a plugin I do not get the option to enter the license code because I get the error “There was an issue determining where GeoDirectory Plugin is installed and activated. Please install or activate GeoDirectory Plugin.”

Solved… I did not have the “WP Easy Updates” plugin installed. After installing it I was able to enter the license codes.

Question about license codes. It was my understanding that I could enter my membership license code in GeoDirectory > Extensions > Membership and not have to enter the individual license codes for each plugin. But that didn’t work. Did I misunderstand this?

Yes you should be able to do so. Make sure to insall add-ons V2. Most of the add-ons on the screenshot are V1.

    Thank you

The field at GeoDirectory > Extensions > Membership is for addons installed from that screen (so, you can re-install everything from there if you want to use that).

@paolo you mentioned “Yes you should be able to do so. Make sure to insall add-ons V2. Most of the add-ons on the screenshot are V1.”

I added the Membership where you suggested but it didn’t seem to affect that plugins and I still needed to enter the individual license code into each one of the plugins. Not very user-friendly…. maybe I wasn’t holding my mouth the right way… as my father used to say. 🙂

And the issue with V1 plugins is strange. Those are the plugins that I downloaded from GeoDirectory. I had mentioned to you that I found it confusing on which ones were the correct ones to download. And this was also before I realized that I could add them from the Extensions area of GeoDirectory.

    See the Screenshot.

After I activated the plugins and then got the update notice for each one I am assuming that GD updated them to Version 2 as they seem to all be version 2 now. Guess that is good news.

Thanks Alex and Paolo… appreciate all your help. I feel like I am starting over yet again from scratch. You would think that after 2-3 years of messing with Directory themes I would be an expert at anything related put in front of me… but clearly that is not the case. I feel like a newbie now… 🙂

I’m sure the learning curve won’t be that long and you’ll feel more confident very soon. The options are so many that it is hard not to feel overwhelmed…

    Thanks!
