    Hi

I seem to have a problem with the permalink is automatically generated in my menu. I am not sure if this is something my theme is doing or a feature of geodirectory.

It I take the example of ‘places’. The category description is set to ‘Places to Visit’. When I put the Place category in to the menu it creates a permalink of https://www.randomreview.info/places/places-to-visit/ It is adding ‘places-to-visit’ at the end. Where I believe it should be https://www.randomreview.info/places/ This causes a problem when you have a location set, as it then produces a link of https://www.randomreview.info/places/germany/bayern/munchen/places-to-visit/ which gives a blank page except for the header. It should be https://www.randomreview.info/places/germany/bayern/munchen/ which works correctly.

This happens for all of the cpt’s. Is there a way for me to change this so it does not add the category name at the end of the permalink?

    Best Regards
    Neil

    Hi,

places is a CPT, place to visit is a category of the CPT places.

I think you have some confusion about how things are structured. https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/places-categories-and-listings/

If the pages are not loading completely there must be an error.

Please provide admin credentials and we will have a look.

Also the way SSL is installed is wrong, I get insecure connection if I try to visit your website with https.

Make sure to fix that too or nobody will visit your website ever. https://wpgeodirectory.com/adding-a-ssl-certificate-to-your-website/

    Thanks

    Hi Paolo

I have managed to sort out the problem with the Menu Permalinks, and hopefully it is working correctly now.

With regard to the SSL, Could you let me know which browser you are working with. We have tried it with several browsers and mobile devices and we do not seem to be getting an error.

    Many thanks
    Neil
