What my client needs is a way to display a page of all the locations (towns in this case) in the directory, and how to customize the locations to add pertinent local information.

I turned on the location switcher, but the display is confusing. The listings for that location show up but the main content area is empty. See

You need to add widgets to the GD Home sections. See also https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/layout/#directory

    Thanks

That sort of makes sense. But is there a way to get a text editor in the description to make it easier to use?

    Hi nvrdigital,

Thanks for your reply. Kindly refer to “Add Listing Form Settings” https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/core-design/#listings to enable “Text Editor” in the description field.

    Thanks!

There is no text editor for the Location SEO settings, but you can just write a post somewhere else and then copy the code if you like.
    Thanks

I would love it if you could ask the developers about incorporating the text editor into the locations. That’s an important element for a directory. You want to know a little about the town/city you are visiting, maybe some background history, etc. With what is there now, the ability to use HTML is very limiting. Captions don’t work for images, etc.
