    Hello Graham,

I have done some debugging and found that it is due to old version of GeoDirectory that searching is not working properly.
Please update it and let us know how it goes.

    Hi Kiran

    Thank you it works !!

    A secondary issue is this:

    Okay i’ve just tested:

    – ‘Window film’ near ‘Brighton’ = no results

    – ‘Window film’ near ‘Worthing’ = results as below:

which as you can see include Members on either side of Brighton.

Do you have any idea on why this is occurring and how to fix?

The issue is that there are many areas called “Brighton” around the world and its picking up the wrong one, its as simpel as searching “Brighton, UK”

Or you can activate the location autocompleter at GD > Advanced Search.
    See image.
    Thanks

Hi guys thank you for the suggestions,

Is it possible to have Brighton,UK as a default for Brighton instead? I would prefer that way

    thank you

That is only possible if your Multilocation settings are for listings in the UK only. If you restricts listings two a few countries like your setup, you cannot make Brighton UK the default.

    Thanks

Hi Guys thanks i tried your method,

And it seems to fix some cities but for others, it redirects back to London, for example, Eastbourne which is near to Brighton but doesnt show.

    Brighton – works

    Portsmouth – no results
    Eastbourne – no results
    Bristol – no results
    Bath – no results

    Here is an example

    – We seen it is an issue with our longitude which seems to change

When we export the location spreadsheet and test city locations west of greenwich line with negative longitude then the map searches work out

When we test locations east of the greenwich line with positive longitude then the map searches fail

Brighton and Eastbourne in the examples shown are just west and east of the greenwich line at similar latitudes.

But in testing Brighton works and Eastbourne fails
The data in locations.csv for both is correct as we can see when we put it directly into Google Maps

The long lat calculation is failing

There are numerous other examples like Canterbury you can test against, all east of the Greenwich line
