    Hi Guys

    Please check http://www.pqrsafrica.com
The google maps image does not load. I have followed the instructions and created a new API based on googles new ToS
    (This was followed, https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/add-google-api-key/)
    (This was read, https://wpgeodirectory.com/google-maps-api-key-and-new-limits/)
I have uploaded your plugin as a last resort and still get that message.
    Please assist where possible.

    Kind Regards
    Carel

Hi Carel, this is your error:

Google Maps JavaScript API warning: InvalidKey https://developers.google.com/maps/documentation/javascript/error-messages#invalid-key
    AIzaSyCjcgxM9uDpZxbT3I7FD9dqgACqF_
Google Maps JavaScript API error: InvalidKeyMapError
    https://developers.google.com/maps/documentation/javascript/error-messages#invalid-key-map-error

It looks like you have a space in front of your key.

    Thanks

Wow, excellent. Thank you for the “space” issue.
I have removed the space, but it doesn’t seem to have changed the “oops” notification.

Where do you find the error log?

Should i consider creating a new API instead?

cool thanks, found the error log in the Java Console.
Looks like the site is not authorized? This is something that i have done where the google code is pasted into the header of the site. Let me check it again

    Hi Carel,

Thanks for your reply. Could you refer to #11 in this section of the documentation and see if it helps? https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/add-google-api-key/

    Thanks!

    Thank you for your patience.
I have found an API restriction setting which had to be changed and will reply again later as I am stepping into meetings for the rest of the day.
Will let you know if i have managed to successfully sort the problem, so the ticket can be closed.
    Kind Regards
    Carel

Okay guys. I have tried a number of things and nothing removed the errors or showed the maps with only an OOPS sign as a reward for all the efforts.
I then proceeded to remove all API’s and the map works, without an API? is this possible?
It still gives an error in the console: Google Maps JavaScript API warning: InvalidKey https://developers.google.com/maps/documentation/javascript/error-messages#invalid-key

But the map displays the way it is supposed to. Is this normal?
Although it does show, i would like to have the warnings and errors removed as i don’t think it is supposed to operate this way.

Any thoughts or suggestions would be appreciated?

    Kind Regards
    Carel

I am guessing you have multiple plugins [or theme] where you have added different keys.
Please post your WP admin details in a private reply if you want us to check your settings.
    Thanks

Please generate a new key or authorise correctly.
Add to GD > Design > Map
I did test with my own unrestricted key and then it works just fine, so your key must be incorrectly authorised, maybe for an other domain or you added the incorrect referrer.
    See: https://developers.google.com/maps/api-key-best-practices

    Thanks

Thank you for the response. I have managed to get the map to load properly.
Now i get the following error in a pop-up when i am busy in the wordpress dashboard.
“Geocode was not successful for the following reason: REQUEST_DENIED”

I have gone through your support Q&A and will activate an SSL certificate tomorrow or as soon as they have approved it. Hopefully that will solve the issue.

That is because your site needs to have a SSL certificate and needs to be HTTPS://
    See more at https://wpgeodirectory.com/adding-a-ssl-certificate-to-your-website/

    Thanks
