    Hello!

I’m looking to setup the Supreme theme directory but how can I get it like the demo website?

    1. How to add the text under search?
    2. How to add the featured (5 in a row)?

Is there a setup that i’ve been missing?

    Please see https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/supreme-directory-overview/#homepage
You need at least 5 categories before there will be 5 links to categories there.
    Thanks

That with the categories I understood. I just need to add more listings before they show.

I read the documentation about the homepage, need to create a new one. I’ll struggle and hassle a bit

You do not need to create a new homepage, you already have one.
That link explains how to add the subtitle you asked about, that is why I posted the link.
    Or maybe I misunderstood …

    Thanks

I want it exactly like the demobecause iI like that theme. I want “travel in style” and then that text explained with my own text.

I tried the beaver page builder but wasn’t able to add text or change thehomepage. Maybe when I start from scratch it’ll get better .

You just add that to the page, as you would do for any other WP page.
Or you can add it to a text widget.

Somehow the page builder wasn’t cooperating but now I got it.
Only subtitle isn’t possible because I got no extra fields? Am I missing a plugin or something for that?

And how can I translate the theme? Upload the.mo and.po files via ftp?

I have the homepage now like this.
But like “popular categories” and “add listing” are English and not Dutch

Subtitle is a custom field as explained here: https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/supreme-directory-overview/#homepage

If you don’t see custom fields, click on screen option (top right of the screen) and enable custom fields.

For translation, please see the documentation: https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/category/translation/

In that case both strings are in the core plugin language file, not in the theme so you want to look at this: https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/translate-core/.

    Thanks

Still can’t find the subtitle/custom fields but it’s no big deal. Maybe I’ll find it later.

Translation; Check! I’ll search the core files and change the words that are a bit weird haha.

Right now my site looks like this.

    * Is it possible to have an slider that displays the reviews that are made? Right now they are listed beneath eachother but is a slider possible?

    * Is there a way to display recent listings or popular places with the free GeoDirectory plugin without any other plugins?

    * Is is possible that the recent posts are listed with an image or in another way?

    * Can I add a blog section on the website with the articles?

    * I have activated the plugin “Comments ratings” and now I’ve got multiple star ratings. Is this a bug in the plugin or with GD? Example listing

Sorry for the many questions.. First time builder with GD.

Read again what Paolo wrote and have a look at the images below.

    * Is it possible to have an slider that displays the reviews that are made? Right now they are listed beneath eachother but is a slider possible?
No, there is no slider like that, you can use the GD Slider widget to display listings but not reviews.

    * Is there a way to display recent listings or popular places with the free GeoDirectory plugin without any other plugins?
    Popular Post Widget: https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/widgets/#popular-post

    * Is is possible that the recent posts are listed with an image or in another way?
Yes, if you add a featured image to the posts.

    * Can I add a blog section on the website with the articles?
    Yes, that is standard WP.
    https://codex.wordpress.org/Writing_Posts

    * I have activated the plugin “Comments ratings” and now I’ve got multiple star ratings. Is this a bug in the plugin or with GD?
That is not a GD plugin, and is not needed. GD comes with built-in rating system.

    Thanks

    Thanks Guust!

Still can’t find the subtitle/custom fields
Read again what Paolo wrote and have a look at the images below.

Got it! I was looking at the wrong page.

    * Is it possible to have an slider that displays the reviews that are made? Right now they are listed beneath eachother but is a slider possible?
No, there is no slider like that, you can use the GD Slider widget to display listings but not reviews.
    https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/widgets/#slider

I’ll look in to the documentation. I will let the reviews be as it is right now.

    * Is there a way to display recent listings or popular places with the free GeoDirectory plugin without any other plugins?
    Popular Post Widget: https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/widgets/#popular-post

    I’ll look into it!

    * Is is possible that the recent posts are listed with an image or in another way?
Yes, if you add a featured image to the posts.

Hm then I need to find a beautiful image.

    * Can I add a blog section on the website with the articles?
    Yes, that is standard WP.
    https://codex.wordpress.org/Writing_Posts

Do I need to assign a blog page on my website? Because what I want is to have a page where the articles are listed and right now I can’t?

    * I have activated the plugin “Comments ratings” and now I’ve got multiple star ratings. Is this a bug in the plugin or with GD?
That is not a GD plugin, and is not needed. GD comes with built-in rating system.

I deleted the plugin and now it’s all good!

Yes, create an empty “blog” page and select it at WP Settings > Reading > Front page displays > Posts page: …

Thanks! I won’t use it because I find it a bit ugly, sorry. The page won’t show the articles excerpt and a very very large picture haha.

Is there a way to show an excerpt like the blog on the website of geodirectory itself?
