Desktop machines do not have GPS chips in them, usually, but phones do, mostly, and with phones many folks have additional ‘accuracy’ tools turned on to help with GPS accuracy. Whether the phone or the desktop the question of “Geolocate you?” is a privacy feature, asking if the the site may access the GPS (or IP based lookup through Google).
You can share the search URL and we can take a look. If you share the search URL it will show the lat/lon in the URL, then if you also share a listing we would just look at the distance to that listing. This feature has been working on your site, though, as in, search results have been returning for near Austin, shown in the example search URL I shared above.
More changes and features are coming to Advanced Search for V2 soon, including options for Geolocation.
We are working as fast as possible on these changes.
This reply has been marked as private.Sometimes the desktop machine will get a geolocation based on IP that is far less accurate, and that sounds like what is happening in this case.
I search for restaurants near san antonio and austin and both searches returned results.
The /location/ page loads the map just fine with several markers and not the whole world using OSM.
I am still unable to login but have flagged your topic to let someone else check if they can login.
It doesn’t have any configuration screens, it runs in the background to make WPML work with GD.
A task has been created to look at paging. An update will be posted here when available.
Sorting by custom fields is not supported in shortcodes, only on listing pages.
I will flag your topoc about the pagination issue, I am not sure that has been added to V2 yet.
You should build with V2. Final versions will be available as soon as they are ready.

To add multilingual: https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs-v2/addons/multilingual/
You can use the shortcode builder to create a gd_listings shortcode on any post or page:
https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs-v2/geodirectory/shortcode-builder/

I am unable to login with the credentials above, invalid username.
1. Please share a link to the events that have issues and we will take a look
2. Can you point to a URL example? I do not see the location switcher. A screenshot of the feature you are talking about will help us understand. -
