You can turn off comments on the page templates manually. For the archive page template, if the page is not showing the option to do that, then view the screen options and unhide discussion, then set comments to not allowed.
If that doesn’t work, please share site credentials and we can take a look.

Is using google maps something that I am likely going to have to pay for eventually?
That depends on site usage and Google’s policy.
The PSD is available on the linked page. A designer can use that to make more, similar icons.
Hello,
it is not necessary to host tiles to use OSM. GD simply makes it possible to use some of the many free baselayers made available.
Edit: It is not possible to export and then clear the image column and reimport.
When you are ready you can try it out to see how it works. Integration of 3rd party plugins should be pretty easy now. We just use Ninja forms as an example because the freely available plugin works.
Is category still active and required in the CPT custom fields tab?
I did not make any changes at all in the backend.
GD Experts can make them for you, if you want something custom.

please try clearing your browser cache and try a different browser.
If that doesn’t work, we would be happy to take a look, just make a private reply with your site details.
Thanks
With V2 it is possible to use another plugin to create the contact form, like Ninja Forms, so that responses can be saved and analyzed, but with V1 this is not possible without a customization.
Yes, add a blank text widget there to make the placeholder text disappear.
Thanks for letting us know! 🙂
That is due to a mixed content issue.
Use BSR to update your DB with your new URL.
Yes, about that often in the past, but releases happen whenever they are needed, not on a schedule, and there are bound to be updates, perhaps several, with V2. It is up to site managers like yourself to run updates on staging sites for testing purposes.
