We would be happy to take a look at your settings to see if we can find the problem. I would like to take a look at the CPT configuration. Can you also please attach the demo export of the CPT?
Please be sure to have completed all the steps for configuration, and do check to see that your plugins are all up to date.

OK, GD only gives users access as Subscribers or authors of their own posts.
You will definitely need another plugin if you are trying to adjust other permissions or access.
That is in the core plugin. Translate the core plugin to change the text.

About the subject at hand, only the related listing widget can sort by nearest.
Have you already set the Related Listings widget to Relate by Category? That is related to all the category of the page where it is displayed. You can include it on listing page or on the detail page and sort by nearest.
The suggestion is here: https://wpgeodirectory.com/support/topic/minify-html-js-css/
Theme compatibility is generally for visual layout adjustments, as opposed to optimization for load times, so I am not thinking that will help you accomplish the goal.
What cache plugin are you using now, GD Booster?
Is there a GD Booster setting you have a question about?
Excellent!

Hello,
please tell us more about how to recreate the issue. Is it only the frontend editor?
You had category disabled. This is a required field. I have re-enabled it. Please check all your listings to make sure they all have locations.
You can try clearing your browser cache and disabling non-GD plugins to see which one might cause a conflict.
I was able to create a place and edit and save in the backend, that map works.
Please share your FTP and WP Admin credentials in a private reply and we will check your settings there to find the conflict for the map.
If you want to list all listings from a post type you can use the GD Popular Post View WIdget or the GD Listings Shortcode:

thanks for bringing that to our attention. I have flagged this for the developers to review and get back to you.
I have flagged your question for the developers to let us know if that is possible.
As far as I know, it sounds like the desire for flexibility would result in a multiselect with choices for every year (1-18?).
