Hello!
Have you already set your default location?
Hello!
Your detail pages are also not loading.
Please visit your WP permalinks and save them again to refresh them. Let us know how that works for you.
November 25, 2017 at 5:44 pm in reply to: How to not show "Places" post types in search field when you have other CPT? #406782Hello!
You can change the name of “Places” and many other properties in GD > Custom Post Types, but we don’t support deleting it. The best way to deal with it is to use the Places CPT but change the name to match a CPT you want to use.
https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/custom-post-types-add-on-overview/
There is no setting ti disable it but you can adjust the order in the CPT properties.

GD is very efficient, but if you are planning to have more than a few hundred listings, do consider a dedicated server: https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/server-requirements/
GD offers several features like showing all listings of a CPT type on a page, in a location, or filtered by category. However, when a search is submitted, it is only across one CPT at a time.
If you want to minimize load, use as few CPTs and as few categories as possible with GD Booster and the MaxCDN option.
Hello!
You can do a bulk edit by exporting, editing, and then importing your listings.
Here is the documentation about Import Export, which also includes helpful information about required fields.
Hello!
This is not a bug, it is a new feature that you would like to see added to the theme.
You can make feature requests here: https://wpgeodirectory.com/requests/
We are aware of the guidelines for structured data. If this feature is added, it will be added to the product in the normal development cycle, and We evaluate each feature request on a case by case basis
You can hire a developer to make the changes you are pointing out. Once you make the fix, feel free to share your code here or as a pull request to GeoDirectory on Github.
Hello!
What is your issue with that. You would like to hide it?
You can do that with CSS. Add this to GD > Design > Scripts
.sd-event-dates-head {display: none}
That feature seems to be pretty unpopular. We might have to look at taking it out of the next version.
To customize your site with additional CSS, please review this article:
https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/customizing-your-style/Hello!
So, I logged in to add a Test Awesome Event, and I see that the built in date fields appear to be working correctly. I entered the date and time and they show up correctly in the list of events on the correct day.
I did see that you have added two custom date fields. Are you saying that the custom fields. They are not labeled in the editor, though, so I did not even know which fields to fill.
Are you ‘doing something’ with the custom field input to set the values in the built in event start and end time fields?
Hello!
Your KLEO theme is blocking the reviews tab. I tested it briefly with 2017 theme and added a couple reviews and they show up fine.
Please contact the Kleo folks to ask them about it.
Also, you can add the theme compatibility pack, as shown in the attached image.

Hello,
When a non-Owner – non-Admin tries to edit a listing through the front end editor, their edits are rejected. There is no concept of a ‘lock’.
There may be a way to block form submission in the case where the duplicate alert is triggered. You can develop this yourself by looking at the listing submission process.
Feel free to submit a feature request here: https://wpgeodirectory.com/requests/
This would be a customization outside of support, and if such a feature were developed it would be based on support for the feature request and then released with the normal product cycle, based on user requests.
Hello!
It’s a good question, and I will ask my colleagues on Monday when they return to the office.
Hello!
This is a customization that falls outside of our support policy, but we always try to review each request and to provide hooks or filters when we can on a case by case basis. I will flag this for the team, who will be back in the office on Monday.
Thanks for your patience while we look into the matter

This would be a customization, as the custom fields do not support html formatting. Ample classes are added to the output on the frontend, providing the opportunity to adjust formatting with CSS. Formatting for field values output in the editor is not supported.
I can recommend that you create a custom field template that can meet your exact needs. To do that I will point you to the code for one of the fields we offer, the “Real Estate Rent” custom field.
https://wpgeodirectory.com/codex/codex/geodirectory_functions/geodir_property_rent_custom_fields-2/
A quick look at that code will show you that those option/values don’t have formatting, but, when you are dealing with this at the template level you will have more options to work with it yourself.
Thanks
Hello!
I’m sorry if I wasn’t clear. The lack of categories on listings is a serious problem and can cause the issues you are reporting. Please add categories to your data and let us know if that fixes the issue.
Hello!
Does that solve your problem?
What else can we help you with?
