When you add a new custom field it does not automatically show anywhere.

You can go on to select display locations in the option “Show in extra output locations”, which will make it display in the GD Output Location widget. Or you can edit a template and use GD Post Meta to show the field.

The GD Ninja Forms widget can be used to show a form that will send an email to the contact email of the listing.

Every listing has only one location.

You might consider some kind of ‘subevent’ CPT that can be linked to the main event CPT. Each subevent as a separate listing could have a different location.

    1. GD doesn’t have a feature to display conditionally based on package, so, no. You can easily hide it with CSS on only free packages using the body class for the package, which is inserted automatically.

    2. No, it is easily displayed, just like any other field. It is up to you to choose which information is displayed.

    3. No, GD does not have bulk email features.

Yes, a field for each item would give you the most flexibility for display and configuration. You can add them as a multiselect, too, and GD Post Meta will output them as list items.

The free addon is for building a directory for one city. To add listings outside the default location you will need the Location manager addon. Try the checkout to see the payments we support.

You can find the setting “Disable frontend add” inside the CPT settings like

Places -> Settings – General – Show advanced – Disable frontend add

Make sure that is NOT checked

About events, the GD Event addon has reserved gd_events, so, it would be a good idea to use the built in post type with that instead of creating another with the same slug (gd_events)

That usually results in a 500 error.

Have you consulted your host to ask if the memory limit can be set higher, still?

You will need to use Libre or Open Office. These are the only programs known to produce CSV without artifacts that will derail the import.
