You cannot have the same “Listing url prefix” at GD permalinks as the slug for the location page.
Look at step 5 of the instructions: “Note: match it exactly to the URL of you site, so if your site does not use WWW, leave it out.”
Is that the error?https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/gd-core-plugin-google-analytics/
“If you like, post your URL and WP admin details in a private reply and we will have a look at your settings, and check why things are not working as expected.”
1. Social import button: added CSS to GD > design > scripts
1. Added some CSS for buttons for preview page
6. Hid the full map trigger with CSS.Can you review and list the remaining problems again, but with URLs where we can find the pages.
Neighbourhoods are sections of a city, typically in the US. You can only use them to divide a location, not to combine locations. Best not to use them in Australia.
I added this to your CSS at GD > design > scripts
.geodir_category_list_view li.gridview_onehalf {width: calc(50% - 24px);}This might help to assist with CSS tweaks: https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/customizing-your-style/
The “Place Tags” is not in line with “Place Category” under the main image on the detail page because the amount of categories and tags. If there is only one category and tag, they should be on the same line.
There is no need for a Compatibility Plugin, just go to GD > Theme Compatibility if there is a need to make any changes.
The second row is because you clicked “activity”, it is the sub-menu for that tab.
Does the favoriting show up once you run Tools > Buddypress > Data to Repair: > Repair user “last activity” data ?Have a look here for a solution to your first question: https://wpgeodirectory.com/support/topic/cannot-customize-the-theme-appearance/
Sorry, but I do not see a difference in listing image size.
Neighbourhoods are no use in Australia, they divide cities into smaller things.
There is no need to enter any locations, they will be auto-added when adding listings, either by you or your customers.
I also note that the CSV had NSW instead of New South Wales as region. When a user will add a listing, Google will add a region called New South Wales, that is the name they use. The result is you will have two regions. Always make sure the location references match what Google thinks.
One suggestion is to add a listing from the admin area, then export your CSV and compare with what you have done so far.
Alternatively, if you like, post your URL and WP admin details in a private reply and we will have a look at your settings, and check why things are not working as expected.
PS: I am in Brisbane, so I understand your suburb issue, if that is any consolation. To automate the maps, we need to rely on the Google Map API, there is no way around it.
A. The reason we cannot have a button like that is because support is best given if topics are created in the relevant forum or subforum. Rather than creating a page with a lot of buttons that would take you all the different forums, we link to the forum direct.
B. From https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/multilocations/
As standard, GeoDirectory can be setup from a single location and listings can be added only for that location, but with our Location Manager plugin, you can let users set the location of their listings and the location will be stored in your locations database.
From https://wordpress.org/plugins/geodirectory/
Create a local directory, based on a single location, using the GeoDirectory free core plugin.
From https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/core-export/
If you want to add locations outside your default location, you will need to install the MultiLocations addon before you can import your data.
We always welcome suggestion for improvements to our documentation, thanks.
Sure, head to GD > export/import and export your CSV. You’ll see a column with the price packages IDs.
A. I see. There are links on every page in the footer to the support policy and forum. I’ll suggest to add it to the menu up the top as well.
B. WP requires categories for each different custom post type that is created. This page might be helpful: https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/places-categories-and-listings/
You have not duplicated the categories, only the slug is duplicated, it is similar to this issue: https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/faqs/why-do-my-locations-get-a-1-at-the-end/Locations are determined by the Google Maps API. Google categorises every suburb in Australia as a separate location. In some countries Google uses not the suburb level, but a city level. There is little we can do about that. So the area covered by the free version will be different in every country.
I don’t know why the sample category upload failed without checking your setup. If you like, post your URL and WP admin details in a private reply and we will have a look at your settings. The reason for the error can be very varied, and the system will not always know, so it is not quite possible to write an error message for each situation.
“post_content: description” is the main content of a listing. That is why we suggest to load the dummy data, which you could then export to check: https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/basic-installation/#dummy
Default location is essentially the first location required to be entered into the system, and follows the Google Maps API.
We are here to help, and I am not sure how I could have helped any better without having access to your system. What might be clear to you might be absolutely fuzzy to me, and vice versa. That is the nature of written communication.
A. Looks like you managed to add a topic:)
B. At https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/core-export/#mandatory it is stated:
post_category: use the name of the category or the slug; this category has to be created in WP admin before you import!I guess you created the gd_shop custom post type, and have activated multilocations?
What theme are you using?
Can you post your URL and WP admin details in a private reply, please. Thanks. The location switch should take you to pages like location/country/region etc.
Shortcodes are not for menus.
Can you post URL and WP admin details so we can try to understand what you have done. Thanks. -
