Not sure, but I would guess in less than a month.
Categories cannot be shared by CPTs.
The structure is always CPT > Category > subcategory.
You are trying to turn it upside down, you want 2 CPTs in the same category. That is not possible.That staging URL redirects to your live site and I do not see any problems there?

I am not sure I understand correctly. Categories are added to CPTs, not the other way round.
So if you create a new CPT, you need to create all new categories “under” that CPT. You cannot use the same categories, but you can duplicate them in name only.Does that also happen if you disable GD Business Hours.

GD works with Custom Post Type > parent category > child category
The popular category widget list the most popular categories for the page selected. That is why it is called that way. If a user navigates to a city, and there are more gay bars there than dog breeders, then that is a simple fact.
If you want to show your child categories on your category pages, I suggest you use the “GD > CPT categories” widget on the listings/category page.

Try this for your CSS:`

3. You cannot disable them, but you can hide them with CSS. It is not possible to let them choose from a list. In that case I suggest a multiselect custom field.

You had set categories as not required at GD > Place Settings > Custom Fields > Field (Category)
WordPress does not work without categories.
