Are you using the GD Search widget or the WP Search widget, because that should not happen.

I restored your GD Login page, which was missing.
The events page is using the Listings template, so add a GD Search widget to the top section.

The WordPress Admin Bar was not enabled at Whoop options > Header options.
Wordpress, Buddypress and GeoDirectory are all old versions.
That looks very much like a plugin or theme conflict. De-activate non-GD plugins and see if that fixes it, and then turn them on one by one until you isolate the conflict.
Can you post your URL and WP admin details in a private reply and we will have a look if you cannot fix it.I guess it just treats tags as another word, just like all the words in the description. The GD search is essentially the same as the WP search, as I understand it.

So if they enter a tag in the main search field, then the results should include listings with that tag. -
