I think you might be missing a page, run GD > Gd Tools > GD pages check.
For the second question: https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/core-design/#listings and look for ADD LISTING FORM SETTINGS
If you’re still stuck with the updating of listings, post your URL and admin details in a private reply.
If you use the Link Business, the event listing will have a link to the Place.
Example:
http://wpgeo.directory/events/united-states/illinois/chicago/festival/art-institute-of-chicago/
Look in the sidebar for the link to “Go to: Art Institute of Chicago”You can add any special feature requests at https://wpgeodirectory.com/requests/ or post a job at https://wpgeodirectory.com/support/forum/geodirectory-jobs/
This reply has been marked as private.I de-activated W3 Total cache, see https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/faqs/what-caching-plugin-can-i-use/
I also added multilocation addon and activated it. Your CSV file was not uploading because the locations were outside the default location.
I did not mean to say that using state abbreviations would stop the upload, but you will end up with 2 different regions in your database, one called Florida and another one called FL.
You have ticked all places to be hidden from the map, so none will show. Read the note below the section where you ticked all the places to be hidden.
Thanks for letting us know.
That link should be fixed now.
your last post is correct.
if you want an advanced editor, you have to create a HTML custom field. Is the category already existing?
Post your admin and URL in a private reply and we will have a look.[You should use full state names, like Florida instead of FL; they have to match the Google API]
July 20, 2015 at 10:14 pm in reply to: CSV will not download…. uploaded CSV Entries not showing #46304Are the listings set to draft or published?
Was the category you used already created?
If you update the listing from the backend, do you get any errors?
https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/core-export/Post your admin details and URL in a private reply, if you want us to have a closer look.
Sorry, but not following where you get that option.
What steps are you using to get to “Manage Custom Fields” section? There is no GD section called like that? Is this from another plugin, or WP, or a theme? To display the GD listings description on the frontend:
GD > design > listings > show description field as editor: Here you can select the post types that will use the WYSIWYG editor on the add listings page description rather than a normal text area. The map can only center on the listings displayed.
To display the address details on the listings page:
GD > Place settings > custom fields > address field > show on listing page > yes
https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/core-place-settings/#commonYou can then hide all other bits and pieces if you like, or edit the template as per
https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/customizing-geodirectory-templates/You cannot make cities without listings show listings of other locations outside the city.
It just is not possible, because if one asks for listings in one city, most people do not expect to see listings in another city. But you can use the search function and set the search radius very wide, then the search result might include neighboring listings NEAR the center of the search query.
https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/core-design/#howI’ll escalate to see whether this is a bug, or whether it just never has been designed for this.
