Do the users get an email?
Does your system send all the other emails? Like lost passwords etc.
Have you set an email address at GD > general > general ?You might be interested in the Prices and Payment addon, which allows you to set different packages including control over the number of images can be added, whether they can link to a website, facebook etc, how many categories they can add, and I could go on.
See https://wpgeodirectory.com/addons/prices-and-payments/My coding is not as good as some others, so I will leave any coding advice to others.
The login issue is in your WP language file:
Logged in as <a href="%1$s">%2$s</a>. <a href="%3$s" title="Log out of this account">Log out?</a>
For the “and” I’ll hand over to Stiofan, I think that might require a change in the files.
I think the difference between what Simone and me are doing and you is this:
You are not selecting the suggestion offered by the system:
You type in the city
The system gives a suggestion
But you do not tell the system you want that city, instead you tab to the next field (the Set address button)
So the system thinks that since you did not tell the system the city you wanted, the system will have a go itself. The only option to select the city is to use a mouse and click on it. Without that the system will not know.
As it is for the moment, GD is not built to be 100% accessible I guess, and that is what is you are expecting.
I was using the keyboard as well, because I was trying to exactly do what you’d done. Can’t explain anything else, since I tried 3 times with different suburbs on the north shore, and it worked fine.
Unless you want to design your own software, we might have to live within the limitations of the software of your choice 🙂
That’s not different with Windows or Android or Outlook. But at least we are a bit more flexible here ! 🙂Since we are all having a go here, I would just have done this 🙂 :
WP admin > GD > Listings Claim > Show link to author page on listings? > YES
That will only show the author if the listing is verified.
Hi Les
1. Your username and password should be saved in the database, so we can wait until the next update to see whether there is a problem.
2. That should have nothing to do with your password. Since you were able to load the dummy data, I guess you have some categories created as part of that process.
Are you adding an icon when creating the category? A category cannot be saved unless you upload an icon (map marker) for the category. If you want us to have a closer look, we’ll need login details.
You can add the map to the top section of the listings page, and the popular category widgets underneath or above.
That will show all your CTP listings and the categories and subcategories.
If you add the category field to your advanced search, then the Customise My Search will allow you to filter on categories.
Just like this page on my test site: http://goldroo.net/accommodation/But exactly like you describe is not possible now.
That is weird, I don’t have that on any site with the same config.
You might have to post some login details etc, so we can have a look why you have warnings showing while debug is off. Thanks for the update 🙂
I am using GDF 1.0.5 and Seo 1.5.4.2, turned on debugging and don’t get that message. Maybe you turned on some other options of SEO.
The default WP setting is debugging OFF, so most people would not even know.Worked perfectly for me …
You got to wait a second until it finds the City.
If you click set on the map before the city is selected, how do you expect the map to know where you want the marker? What browser and system are you using?
I cannot find a map on any of your pages, in any browser. And the site does not hang for me. I can see some Ad plugins that is on some pages for logged in users and not others which seem to trip things up.
I’ll ask Paolo to have a look; you might have to give him details of an administrator account so he can check your settings.GDF options > header styling options > header background > click on “select colour” > choose a colour you like > and Save.
And add this CSS:
.header-right-area {
background: transparent;
}That will make the widget in the right hand side colour the same way as the rest of your header.
I had something similar happen.
I just dragged the marker to the right spot and saved the listing.
That fixed it.
We might just ask Vikas whether he can shed any light on this. -
