Yes, have a look at the custom fields for Events, and add the Link Posts field.
That will add a “Place” selector on the Add Event Page. Thanks
I set up a discount to “start” today and “end” in one month.
That only means that the discount code can be used during that period; it does not affect any payment options.
Then for example, I wanted the discount to run for a year?
You will need to create price packages that have an anniversary date of a year, and then you can use a discount for “First payments”.
For example 50% off using code “geo” Good for one year? Good for one year beginning “today” and expiring on July 31st?
Any discount code is applied to the price of a new listing.
If you have listings that never expire, 50% will give those listings at half price.
If you have listings that renew every month, then either a 50% discount is applied to all renewals or to the first month only. Thanks

One simple way to fix it without any coding is to swap your WP posts setup for a new CPT. Then you can use all GD functions for your “blog posts”.Thanks
This explains how to merge the new V1 language files with the new V2 language files:

ThanksI asked a developer to have a look, I cannot find a solution for the problem.
It may be theme specific.
ThanksYou’re welcome 🙂
Can the location description be shown onpage before displaying places/events?
The location description can be displayed anywhere on a location page where you add the GD Location Description widget, block or shortcode.
Can I rename generates city pages from mywebsite/illinois/chicago/ to mywebsite/city/chicago or maybe mywebsite/chicago
You can only use these permalinks:
…/location-slug/country-slug/region-slug/city-slug
…/location-slug/country-slug/city-slug
…/location-slug/region-slug/city-slug
…/location-slug/city-slugIs there any benefit to me creating separate pages for all cities and displaying results on them?
All city, region and country pages are auto-created, and will normally have only listings etc that particular location, unless you change the shortcodes for those page.
If chose to create separate pages for cities and have results display on them, do I need to disable location pages or modify them so they wont interfere with the pages?
You should use the auto-created location pages or search and location switchers will not work correctly.
You can change the slug of the location page.Alex mentioned that its “it is not supported to use the Location or other GD Pages as the WP Front page;” is that still the case?
Yes, that is correct, you should use a WP page.

Oops, it looks like the Location Manager was de-activated. Try now.
So the question for you is:
1. over-write the live site now and loose any new listings and posts and pages since you started the upgrade on the staging site.
2. upgrade the live site again on a new staging site and then over-write the live site so all new listings and posts and pages are included in the upgrade.
3. Make good notes of the content any new listings and posts and pages since you started the upgrade on the staging site, so you can re-create them after you use option 1.Thanks
You’re welcome 🙂
You are using some Jetpack feature that is not displaying the detail page using the Supreme theme but some other theme it seems.
Try turning off Jetpack to see the difference. This is how a Supreme detail page looks like:

Yes, if you do indeed have a backup.
One option is now that you know how to do the upgrade, is to do it again, and then directly replace the old site. That way you will not need to try to merge.I cannot see any duplicates when sorting A-Z.
We suggest you add the UsersWP plugin:

At a shortcode like this to the homepage, adjust as required:
[gd_listings post_type="gd_place" sort_by="az" title_tag="h3" layout="3" post_limit="5" add_location_filter="1" view_all_link="1" bottom_pagination="1"]https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs-v2/geodirectory/shortcode-builder/
Thanks
