What is the exact plugin you are using: Beaver Builder Lite, Beaver Builder Standard, Beaver Builder Pro. And are you using Beaver Themer?

You are hiding the switch to swap between Places [orte?] and Web [podcasts?]. To bring that back, delete this custom CSS you added:

.gd-search-input-wrapper.gd-search-field-cpt {
    display: none!important; 
}

Then the switch will come back, see image.
Your categories are now in different CPTs so you need that CPT switcher back.

Sorting is only for category pages, not search pages.

The events seem to be sorted by the start time.
The first one has started already on 29 June, so that comes first.
Second and third ones start at 00.00 of 6 July. They are then ordered possibly by AZ or featured, not sure.
Fourth starts at 11.00 of 6 July, ie later.
Last one starts at 12.00 of 6 July, so that is last.

I’ll get confirmation of the developers as to why they sort as they are, when the only thing you searched for is a date.
