You have some conflicting plugins it seems. You are running 2 different directory plugins which is the main problem I think. You have 2 searches on the same page for 2 different plugins I think.

It is not uncommon for child themes to be created by developers of a parent theme/framework.
If you are worried about forgetting to integrate your changes you make to such a child theme, when it needs updating, 2 simple extra plugins will be your best option.We will update the documentation to better explain that.

BP is for users, GD is for posts.
The integration plugin is to integrate BP and WP and GD, meaning user roles, profiles etc.
GD listings are enhanced WP posts.
If your users want to be added to a map, they will need then a listing so it can be added to a map. You could create a GD custom post type foro those users that want to add themselves to a map (aside from possibly having a business listing).thanks

That is not possible. The maps are only for GD listings, so unless your users add a listing they cannot be shown on the maps.
