This is what I get: https://youtu.be/Xnp-IAOAsjc
I am not sure why you get
https://dealersbest.com/location/me/
and I get
https://dealersbest.com/location/illinois/chicago/Maybe because I am no where near the closest listing. I’ll ask the developers why this could be.
You should always use a child theme.
If you use the code snippets plugin then there is no need to add any code to the parent or child theme.
Similarly, there are plenty of CSS plugins that allow you to add CSS without touching your themes:https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/useful-plugins/#snippets
https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/customizing-your-style/Thanks
That gets added by BuddyPress: Settings > Buddypress > Options
There are also plugins to hide it, or have a look at http://www.wpbeginner.com/wp-tutorials/how-to-disable-wordpress-admin-bar-for-all-users-except-administrators/
Thanks
Where can we add the map icons?
You do have them, they are just not visible: https://www.autocarenetwork.co.uk/newdemo/wp-content/uploads/2017/04/garage.png
Replace them with something more obvious. You can make a GD Listings Map sticky: https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/core-shortcodes/#listing
I have added a quick test page so you can see all links to the auto-created pages:
https://www.autocarenetwork.co.uk/newdemo/aaa-guust/Please review https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/layout/#directory to get a better understanding of how to adjust GD automatically created pages. There is normally no need to create any WP pages for the directory parts unless you have a good reason to do so.
There is something on your site that stops the sticky map from sticking. There may be a theme or plugin conflict I have not found. I suggest you de-activate all non-GD plugins to see if that fixes it.
Thanks
Can you post your WP admin details please. Thanks.
Try adding this CSS:
.geodir-bubble-meta-side .geodir_more_info.post_address span[itemprop="addressLocality"], .geodir-bubble-meta-side .geodir_more_info.post_address span[itemprop="addressRegion"] {display: initial;}Thanks
Hi John, you will need to add a plugin like our UsersWP plugin, or BuddyPress:
https://wpgeodirectory.com/support/topic/userswp-beta-gd-integration-uwp-recaptchaThat way you can add/capture the different fields.
Thanks
I have asked Stiofan to look at your query. Thanks
You’re welcome 🙂
The code gets added when you select YES at GD > General > Google Analytics code > Add Google analytics tracking code to site?
The code does not get deleted if you select then NO at GD > General > Google Analytics code > Add Google analytics tracking code to site?
All that happens is that the code is removed from the frontend, by setting the option for geodir_ga_add_tracking_code to 1 instead of 0.
For the moment the code is not used on your website.
If you really want to remove it from the database, delete the content of the option value of geodir_ga_tracking_code, but there is no need to. If you ever connect a different GA account, it will be overwritten anyway. Thanks
Have a look at the extensions of the other files created, they end in “fi.po” for example.
The ones you created are ending in “fi_FI.po”.
Translate the files to Finnish, instead to Finnish (Finland) – or just change the extension of the file. Thanks
You can use a Popular Post widget [or shortcode] for each category:
https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/widgets/#popular-post
https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/core-shortcodes/#poppostThanks
Yes, you can add content to the homepage.
You can always add some CSS like
#mm-mobile-navigation-left ul li.gd-location-switcher a:first-child { background-color: red; }Thanks
The image you show above is the /location/me page, which is the result if you follow the “near me” button.
The redirect page should be the closest city, like https://dealersbest.com/location/illinois/chicago/ which is what I get when I get geolocated. -
