Thank you
Hi,
yes the Theme replaces the add-listing page with their own custom template. Please ask to the theme author for support about that part.
Thank you
September 1, 2015 at 6:14 pm in reply to: Can I show different external link for each location? #51602Guust missed the link to the article I think. I don’t know which reference he had in mind, but you can do that with the Location Description widget.
For each location you can write a unique front end description. Adding that widget will show the right description, depending on the location visited.
Let us know how you went.
Thanks
Hi,
you had the option disabled in Buddypress to Record activity for new posts and comments. Settings >> Buddypress. I’ve enabled it an now it works.
I’ve added a “Book” to test. Activity is tracked and I left it for you to check. You can delete it.
You are using custom links in your menu and not navigation option from GeoDirectory >> design >> navigation where the menu to add links is not selected. I think you did this because our custom links don’t work with Kleo.
For the full month name in a custom field datapicker, some setting seem to have problems with the JS month picker. I’ve set a task for the developers to fix this.
Thank you
hi,
using permalinks is a common practice with WordPress and it is actually the best possible option for SEO. I would say 99% of wordpress website do not use default permalinks.
GeoDirectory uses a custom permalinks structure with locations, that would be impossible to handle with the default WordPress permalinks structure.
In addition, changing from the default to the postname permalinks structure shouldn’t break anything of your 10k articles. It will just change their URL to a nicer looking one.
Given that it is not a requirement for Google News to have a unique identifier in the URL, while it is for GeoDirectory to have non default permalinks, I’m not sure what we are discussing about here.
Thanks
It is an add-on it is, installed just like any WordPress plugin and you’ll find it here: https://wpgeodirectory.com/support/members/johnnymestizo/downloads/
Thanks
Hi,
there are no options to do such things, all 3 require major customizations.
Thank you
p.s. sorry about the confusion and welcome back! 🙂
Hi,
the file it’s called geodir_location_manager.
If you haven’t bought the plugin on theme tailors, there is no need to sync.
Thanks
Hi,
all your addons are outdated. You can’t use the lasted version of the core plugin with old addons.
Please go to GeoDirectory >> Auto Updates and enter this forum credentials. That will enable auto updates notifications and you will be able to update all your add-ons.
Let us know if the problem persists after that.
Thanks
Thank you! 🙂
Hi,
that appear to be something added by Sky Theme, I’m 99% sure, if you provide wp admin credentials, I’ll confirm 100%.
Please try submitting a support request to the theme author.

Hi,
you have the location page with the same name of the CPT. Please keep the 2 things separate. They are different things. 1 is the directory home page, the other is the listings page: https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/layout/
In MultiLocation you enabled default country/region and city, which basically means excluding any other locations, are you sure you want to do this?
Please stop playing around with settings and explain what you are trying to achieve and we will tell you if it is feasible.
Thanks
Hi,
you have that CPT selected in GeoDirectory >> General >> Select CPT to disable physical location
Select the post types that does not require geographic position/physical location. All fields will be disabled that related to geographic position/physical location.
Including in the URL.
Thanks
Hi,
it can still be mostly made with css:
<style> .gd-bubble { max-width: 350px; width:350px; } .gm-style .gm-style-iw{ width: 450px !important; } .geodir-bubble_image .geodir_thumbnail { width: 400px; } .geodir-bubble_desc { width: 400px !important; </style>add it to foooter via GD>desgn>scripts.
If you make them wider though, it will not look good on mobile.
Thanks
