@chezwells he was posting in private so you couldn’t read his replies before, but he’s talking to us, nothing for you to worry about.
Thanks
July 29, 2015 at 6:26 pm in reply to: What's the best way to mark a business closed/out of business? #47449HI,
there is no option for this.
If you don’t want to put it in draft or delete it, you should probably add a note in the profile and maybe in the Time field to say that the business is closed/out of business.
Thanks
Hi,
did you add the map in appearance >> widgets to GD > Home top section?
Please provide a URL and admin credentials in a private reply and we will have a look.
Thanks
Hi,
the normal settings in GD >> Design are not working because we X we use their layout wrappers and css.
Have you tried adding them to GD >> Theme COmpatibility or GD >> Design >> Scripts >> Custom css?
Let us know,
Thanks
Yes, I had a doubt that it adds it only if the listing is claimed.
Here we provided a function that will show it for all: https://wpgeodirectory.com/support/topic/show-author-on-listings-that-are-not-claimed/
However it doesn’t show it exactly in the same location. That said there other hooks that could be used to display it elsewhere. Let us know where you would prefer it and we will provide the appropriate snippet.
Thanks
let us know how you went and if we can set this as resolved.
Thanks
HI,
You’re supposed to have received an email with a direct link to download the add-on when purchasing from Theme Tailors.
Theme Tailors buyers don’t have access to the downloads area here. Only site members do.
If you bought on Theme Tailors you have to login to themetailors.com and click on the “My Orders” link in your profile menu:http://themetailors.com/member/yourusername?list_mp=my_orders
Download the add-on from there and install it normally by uploading it via wordpress admin.
Then, if your account is synced here, you can add your username and password for this forum in GeoDirectory >> Auto Updates and you will receive automatice updates for purchased add-ons.
Let us know if it’s clearer now.
Thanks
Hi,
you can add an icon to fields and that will show in the sidebar of the listing.
Without a customization, there is no way to show icons in the advance search options.
Thanks
Hi Miriam,
did you select Yes in this claim listing option:
Show link to author page on listings?
Let us know,
Thanks
Hi,
I’ve just tested on both firefox and chrome and it worked fine on both. Make sure you don’t have any popup blocker and try also clearing your browsers cache.
Let us know,
Thanks
Hi,
that will show them through the Popular post widget obviously, not in the maps. It is not possible to filter listings by time on the maps.
Thanks
Hi,
the maps work if you visit the website on https:// not on http:// you should redirect http:// to https:// via .htaccess file.
http://stackoverflow.com/questions/4083221/how-to-redirect-all-http-requests-to-https
To adjust the only element left not using https, I’d need your FTP or that you make the wp-content/themes folder writable, so that I can edit GDF functions.php from within wordpress.
Otherwise you can do it yourself, simply open functions.php of GeoDirectory Framework (not the child theme, the main core theme) and change line 452.
From:
wp_register_style('googleFonts', 'http://fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Lato:400,700,400italic,700italic');to:
wp_register_style('googleFonts', '//fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Lato:400,700,400italic,700italic');Let us know,
Thanks
Hi,
We were able to find a member with the same issue you had here… Could you please check if you had the same problem?

Please let us know,
Thanks
Just FYI,
reviews won’t appear in activity unless your website can be crawled by search engines.
You should never modify a plugin file to achieve extra options, or after every plugin update, you’d lose all your changes.
I’ve found this on the buddypress forum: https://buddypress.org/support/topic/add-post-featured-image-in-activity-stream/
That will probably just work for regular blog posts. I’ll ask to the developers if it is possible to add it to GD items too.
This is beyond support (just FYI), so the answer could be delayed a bit.
Thanks for your patience,
