I don’t think our system will be currently able to accommodate something like that, but I asked to the developers to let us know their thoughts.

Whenever you activate a new theme, all options (widgets, menus etc) are reset,but if you activate back the theme you had before, you get them back.

that’s not possible, the widget is built to order categories by “popular”.

What you could do is avoid using the shortcode and using html to provide fixed categories.

However this is not super easy to achieve, unless you have decend coding skills, you’d need to hire a developer to change that.

Here you have a similar example and you’ll see it’s not exactly self explanatory, but any developer could easily assist.
