If BuddyPress is installed it takes over the author page, so you must setup the plugin to use it completely.

503: The Web server (running the Web site) is currently unable to handle the HTTP request due to a temporary overloading or maintenance of the server. The implication is that this is a temporary condition which will be alleviated after some delay.

I would ask to your hosting provider for support about that.

if you update the core GeoDirectory plugin (which you did) you MUST update the add-ons as well. If you don’t you can be sure things will not work correctly.

Please update everything and we will check in case anything is still not working.

In addition, if you are using BuddyPress, you should use the BuddyPress integration.
