it search in the titles, keywords, description and categories.
That is what it does, however it is not possible to make it only search for exact matches. A big customization would be required.

in the image attached you can see how it should look like. Each column has a heading and below there is the corresponding data.
Is this how you see your file? If not, it means that you are not opening as a CSV (comma separated). You are probably using tab or semicolon as data delimiter.
You can set that while opening the file, see the 2nd image attached.

did you generate the API key from within GeoDirectory or added one that you already had?
I’d try generating one with the dedicate button in GD > Design > Map, and see if that works.
