p.s. you should never edit any of the original files or you’ll lose changes after every update.
For the navigation settings (listings /add listings), go to GeoDirectory > Design > Navigation and remove what you don’t want.
To remove the location switcher you can do that from GeoDirectory >> MultiLocations.
The CSS you can copy it in GeoDirectory >> Design >> Scripts >> Custom CSS.

it looks like the host deactivated GeoDirectory, but not the add-ons. Either you re-activate GeoDirectory or you must deactivate all the add-ons too as long as you don’t re-install the core plugin.

only admins can edit all listings, normal users can only edit the listings that they submitted or claimed and own.

Hi,
let’s start from the last problem. You can’t delete the GD pages. So deleting the Add listing page cause the edit listings not working, now it works and it doesn’t look as bad as your custom add venue page so that problem with that is definitely not cause by GD, it must be the visual editor.
The field that is being locked isn’t the address, but appear to be the category that needs to be selected again.

That is really weird, if I enalbe multi country, it lets me change address and it doesn’t change country name.
If I set back to use only the default country, it throws that error.
I asked to the developers to check.
They’ll us know asap.

if you used the popular category widget as I suspect that is not possible. As you said, that widget orders by popular (with most listings).
You’ll need to customize the widget or create a new one to achieve that.
If the number of district is limited and will not increase, you may be better off doing that list with static html and links.
To order listings by AZ, please see this doc: https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/core-place-settings/#sorting and sort by AZ Field (Title).
