the regular search page of GDv2 is /search/. It’s a default WP page, just change the slug of that page to something different than search.

It’s just a tool.

Google does not use it to rank websites, so no it is not that important.

Between a website that loads in 900ms with a 50 score and one that loads in 3 secs with a 100 score, I’d chose the 1st and Google too.

It’d mean that one is unoptimized, but running on a server that can handle it well, the other is very optimized, but the server that hosts it is underpowered.

I launched this tool to see how slow the page really is and it’s not so bad at all:

In several US locations it loads under 1 sec.

The biggest problem I see is that the gzip/deflate mod is not enabled on your server.

By enabling compression of files, you’ll see major improvements.

You need to ask this to your server support.
