The only map that you can add via shortcode to a custom page is the home map and that will show everything.

Does it work if you deactivate our themes and plugins? If it doesn’t, the problem is in the server config somewhere…

you are adding that listings in a custom tab via shortcode in your functions.php:

echo do_shortcode(‘[gd_listings post_type=”gd_contractor_projec” post_author=”current” post_number=”10″ add_location_filter=”0″]’);

You can add extra parameters to the shortcode to get those options: https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/core-shortcodes/#listings

1) if you follow this example you are 100% sure you’ll have no problem. However if you db collation and table collation is correct, it should work also if you enter the symbol directly.

2) It doesn’t matter

3) Parent category MUST be referenced or the system won’t work correctly

4) Not required, however the system will auto assign one cause it needs it for 2 things. The category to show by default in the URL and the map marker to use in maps.
