Hi,
1st you will need to update the location manager plugin. Currently you have v1.4.3 installed that still uses the old auto update system (at least 8 months old). The only way to udpate that now is manually via FTP or with a plugin like this: https://wordpress.org/plugins/easy-theme-and-plugin-upgrades/
Once you will do that, yuo will see a new field in GD >> Auto Updates / Licensing to add and activate the license key of the location manager.
I also see a javascript error saying that you added the Google Maps API key twice.
After you update the outdated plugin we will check that too.
Let us know where the ads are supposed to show up in the home page.
Thanks
Hi,
that is how WordPress work, if you assign a post (or listing) to multiple categories or tags it will appear under different URLs, however the canonical URL will make sure that Google knows it’s not a case of duplicate content.
In that case the canonical URL is https://www.dancelifemap.com/classes-studios/romania/judetul-constanta/mangalia/salsa/salsa-mi-vida/
Thanks
Hi,
I’ve flagged this for Stiofan. He’ll let you know his thoughts asap.
Thanks
September 10, 2016 at 3:34 pm in reply to: Auto detect and select local city and keep the setting while surfing the site #263820Hi,
GeoLocation is part of the advance search add-on. If you enable it, users will be asked if they wish to share their location, if they do they will see listings around them.
The location is kept only while visiting GeoDir pages, if you navigate to a normal page, the location will be reset.
Thanks
Hi,
that should become visible as soon as you activate the Advances search add-on.
Please provide a link and admin credentials and we will have a look.
Thanks
Hi,
the system wasn’t built to limit users, but to allow anyone to add as many listings as they needed to.
Thanks
Hi,
that’s how the template of that theme has been designed.
Thanks
You are welcome 🙂
Hi,
if you updated the child theme to its latest version the fix should be in there already.
Let us know how you went.
Thanks
You are welcome 🙂
I’m sorry you felt that way, in my opinion it was a wise reply. If you want your directory to stand out, don’t expect to get there without curating your content.
How many new listings per day are added to your directory right now? It shouldn’t take very long to make sure all have the right tags to be found by your visitors.
If you think your visitors will mess us, help them with notes on the add listing page to make them understand what they need to add to their listings to be found.
I’m not sure why you felt it was a shitty reply…
Thanks anyway
are you sure those are FTP credentials? What’s the host name?
Let us know,
Thanks
I don’t think so, it looks into title, description, categories and tags.
You can’t expect your user to make your website perfect, there is a website admin for that.
Thanks
Hi Ravi,
if you provide admin credentials in a private reply, we will check and let you know.
Thanks
@stiofan, please check this while at it: https://wpgeodirectory.com/support/topic/error-since-last-update/#post-263396
