Hi,
the problem appear to be between buddypress and SEO Yoast. If you disable one or the other the problem goes away.
Apparently it’s a known issue since long time: https://github.com/Yoast/wordpress-seo/issues/2550
Please ask for support to Yoast, in this case there is really nothing we can do.
Thanks
May 23, 2016 at 9:29 pm in reply to: Featured Image disappears after changing category that place is attached to #196828Hi,
I’m just testing now with version 1.5.8 and the system automatically adds the main category if only the subcatgeory is selected.
The only way to add a subcategory without a parent was via select field and we fixed that in version 1.5.7:
For category field type “select” it should add parent category also when a sub-category is selected – FIXED
Prabably now the only way is via CSV import and in docs we say:
When adding a listing in a subcategory, you should also add the main category. Separate category names with a comma
Point 4 of important things to know here : https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/core-export/
Thanks
You are welcome 🙂

1 please see: https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/basic-installation/#media
We can’t remove that setting being a WordPress setting and not a plugin setting. But it is mandatory to be enabled for GD to work.
2 As far as I know, GeoDirectory never worked has you described. Since the 1st release of the plugin it’s always been mandatory to add the listing to both parent and sub category to work correctly. There are posts from 2014 about this in the forum.
I’ve just downloaded v1.60 to test and see if I’ve always been wrong all this time. I’ll let you know asap.
Thanks
problem was caused by a plugin called: Express Curate.
Thanks
Hi,
that option is in:
GeoDIrectory > Design > Listings > Add Listing Form Settings > Show description field as editor.
Thanks
Hi Lisa,
that shouldn’t happen at all and there is no option to turn it off.
Please provide a link and admin credentials in a private reply and we will find the problem.
It must be a conflict with something esle.
Let us know,
Thanks

May 23, 2016 at 8:24 pm in reply to: Featured Image disappears after changing category that place is attached to #196809Hi,
Even only a refresh of the page after adding the image would make it disappear. it’s not the category change and it is not a bug.
In settings >> media, you had “Organise my uploads into month- and year-based folders” disabled.
Listings in GeoDirectory must be attached to both sub and parent category. it will not work if you only attach them to the sub catgeory.
Thanks
hi,
yes I fixed it for you.
You had blannk spaces after the closing ?> tag.
I deleted those and added the code correctly.
Please check now.
Thanks

The image is simply missing from the media folder. It must have been deleted.
I tried changing catgeory to many listings to test and the featured image never got displaced.
Thanks
You are welcome 🙂
Hi,
in Supreme theme, that Icon has always been only a share to facebook icon.
I can show you the original demo when the theme was not even finished yet and it’s always been a share button.
Thanks
Ok please keep us posted.
