there is a setting in gd >> design >> detail >> related listings settings:
Enable location filter on related post.
That way you will only show related listing (by tag or category) from the location currenty visited.

1) yoursite.com/add-listing/?listing_type=gd_place if you are only using the default custom post type.
2) In GeoDirectory >> permalinks is there a page set for the check out page? If not go to GD tools and run the tool to fix GD pages.

On the detail page there is, not on the picture section though.
You’d need to make the custom post type locationless to avoid the map 100%. In that case you’d need the Custom Post Types add-on.
