Thanks! This is really important for us and we need to get this right, as we are about to upload 2500 listings via csv…
As Kiran suggested, there is obviously no way for us to manually edit every listing and load the photos up manually so it would be great to find a way to get to the same result otherwise the csv upload into GD is a bit useless 🙁Obviously we want a consistent look across all listings.
When we manually created the listings we manually uploaded images with an image height of 600px as recommended by GD. Then as you said GD will automatically resize the images which does not happen with the csv upload.
If we want to get the same visual result in a csv upload what size do we have to manually resize before the FTP Upload? I think its 387px but can’t be sure…We are able to manually resize the images before the upload for some listings as long as we know to what we have to resize BUT:
We are about to get a file from an accommodation provider with 2500 listing and about 10,000 images, but we will most likely get them as links to their database.
Obviously those images we can’t resize, do you have any ideas on how we can force them into the same format as the images from manual listings i.e. perform the same resize process GD performs when a listing is manually created?
Is there a way to manually kick this off in bulk, instead of by editing one by one? Thanks so much for your help on this, and fingers crossed we will manage to make this work with minimum manual effort for each listing, it will make or break our directory 🙂
Thanks,
