Hi Kor,
Sorry I thought i had attached it.
I am using a plugin called custom CSS which has handeled all the the other CSS changes perfectly.
I am thinking maybe I need to add some sort of gd to the beginning of the code?
Thanks!Hi Kor,
Thanks!
I am getting a CSS error though?Hi Alex,
IT WORKED!!!
So awesome, thanks so much!!
This is so much better and thanks for fixing the styling with the Near Me button as well 🙂Cheers
Thanks!
I am assuming this will also then remove the sign-in fields when the user is not logged in, which I wanted to keep.
I suppose then a better option would be to customize the size and colour of the button in css, is this also done with a.signin?
I have tried the following, but it does not work…
a.signin{
background-color: #1eabc7;

Just to add to the above: I have added the Loginbox widget and the user can choose their FAvourites (either Place or Event) from the list.
Interestingly the down arrow works in this setting!
Attached a screenshot and I will send you the link in a private reply.

1. Could you please let me know how to “remove custom styles”? I can’t really delete all custom css if thats what you mean? But if you could let me know which custom style specifically is causing this and how to remove it, that would be great 🙂 The theme we are using is Flocks. I am not aware of any custom css to arrow etc. objects we have created. Our custom css is mostly fonts, not sure if they can cause the down arrow to not be clickable?
This is a real problem as our users are really struggling with this. If we can’t make the Down Arrow clickable, alternatively how could I remove it or any other ideas for solving this some other way?2. I have tried your snipped and it changes the size of the Location input field but does nothing to the Near Button which is still an odd size …
3. We have sorted through the Near/ Search issues in a seperate post and I realised after that it all was related to the fact that in Australia Google Maps does work as usual as it treats every suburb as a city and therefore some GD setting we had enabled like Autocomplete just did not work at all. Thank you for you input on the topic though 🙂 – closed
Thanks very much,
RafaelaThanks!
What a shame that this feature does not work in Australia..In regards to your Hunter Valley link, you searched for Pokolbin but most people will search for Hunter Valley…
Unfortunately the Google coordinates are about 73 km from where the Hunter Valley Wine Region is so that is very confusing for people (see picture, the place shows as 73 km away from the Hunter Valley when its right in Pokolbin). We had to extend our search radius quite significantly to have the places show which obviously is not ideal as for Sydney the system now needs to retrieve 100’s of places. The same problem exists in the Blue Mountains where the centre of the Blue Mountains is not where people expect it to be and only a large radius in the settings will even show the places..Can I manipulate the coordinates for Regions somehow in the Geodirectory? I was looking for the Regions in the database but was only able to find the Cities in table wp_geodir_post_locations.
Thanks!

Hi Alex,
Thanks!
The result for Sydney PROPER is really bizarre though.
If you look at the second result (around the centre of Sydney plus 100 miles) there are lots more and also much closer places to Sydney City…
Let me know please if we made a mistake in setting our listing up and how to fix it.
Better now before we create another 500 listings 🙂This problem also exists with other locations not just Sydney (i.e. Hunter Valley(Region) PROPER returns a couple of places whereas Hunter Valley plus radius has over 50…
I have also worked out why our Hunter Valley properties have not shown up in the search previously because the GPS coordinates are actually 50 km away from our properties and our previous search radius was 20 km…fixed this now by extending the radius to 100 but if we can get your nifty autoresponder to work that would be even better!
Have a great weekend!

While you are looking at our search, could you also let me know what we did wrong:
When searching for category dog friendly accommodation in Australia, GD returns a result of 0 when there should be at least 20.
The search bizarrely works for Sydney. We have opted to have in all our permalinks country, region and city so it should be easy to return a result in the search.This reply has been marked as private.This reply has been marked as private. -
