Yes I will if I can’t sort it. I’ll see if I can see why first. Just checking all the widgets, etc. It’s not easy with a new theme like this and I’m a little rusty after a break from GD work. Things have changed too so getting used to GD V2 as well. It’s come a long way from GT!

I wonder what harm could be done by running it twice…Surely it might just say ‘already done’! The warning prevents you from risking it.
Maybe I should be asking the people who developed it – an afterthought. 😉 However, this is the theme for GD:

When you install it there is a set up wizard. During this I had to leave it on the page for ‘content”. On 2 of these it says ‘this should only be performed once’ but I can’t remember if I did it or not. 🙁 Is there a way to tell?

So I know for the next time I add a CPT, please could you explain more fully? I can’t see/find exactly what you have done in the reasoning above in GD>place setting. Job setting?

SueThis reply has been marked as private.This reply has been marked as private.a) I tried the link you suggested as it was with the correct domain and my add Job page came up BUT it didn’t from the navigation bar on the website. I got a ‘not found’. I looked at the URL for Add Place and copied the format which worked:
add-listing/?listing_type=gd_job
I need to remember this for when I add more.
b) I delay because I’m busy and have started new sites with GD V2. I wanted to familiarise myself with that first. Also when you do these upgrades there are always unforeseen problems. You need time for checking all is ok too. GT to GD was not straightforward with a site I began in 2012 which wasn’t even responsive then! It had been through all versions of GT from the very beginning. I’ll get round to it.
I see that the CPT plugin now has automatic updates which it didn’t a while back which is why I assumed settings wouldn’t be saved as you had to delete it and install the new version.

SueThanks, yes it’s visible now under GD. However, as it’s not available as an automatic update, when I upgrade to GD V2 I assume I’ll have to set it up from scratch again with CPT V2, yes?
When I looked in my account I clicked the V1 option at the bottom of the page but still only saw CPT V2 as I scrolled. It mustn’t have loaded properly as I can see it now. Grr! How annoying.
GD V2 is very different as I have it on another site.

SueThis reply has been marked as private.PS to previous message, I just thought I’d had the screenshots. It’s not showing with either version of CPT plugin 0.12 or 0.14. Surely it should work with GD V1 as well as 2? I will upgrade soon but haven’t had time.
SueI included the V1 add-on downloads. I now have Version 2.0.0.12 installed which I had on my computer. I think that is the version I had previously. (I deleted version 2.0.0.14 from the site.) Neither show the CPT in the list under Geodirectory. Puzzled. Was there an earlier version than 2? That is all that is in the V1 downloads, the same one 2.0.0.14.

SueWill do. I had V1 installed but updated to V2 when had the add listing page problem previously. You can’t win! 😉😂 I’ll let you know if it works.

Thanks very much indeed. All is fine now. If the error is in the business hours plugin then surely I can’t be alone in experiencing this problem. Has anyone else encountered it? Many people must use it.
