Hi thank you for your prompt replies,
Kor,
Yes, Google Maps is the best choice, but can get very expensive. I also use Cloudways for the website, very happy with it 🙂Alex,
thank you, your answer made me understand that I should investigate more about maps. Maps can be easily be the biggest cost of a website!Best regards
Thank you guys, this worked perfectly!!!!
Cheers!Hi Alex,
I would have to manually categorize the listings in the different options but it will work, Thanks!!*A range slider would be great for v2
Cheers!
Please Ignore above message, I realized is not the best approach.
Would it possible to have this setting?
The Listing Max Attendees: 60
Search filters (dropdowns).
1) Attendees
– Any (listing appears)
– 10 + (listing appears)
– 25 + (listing appears)
– 50 + (listing appears)
– 100 + (listing doesn’t appear as the max possible is 60)2) Exclude big rooms: You can exclude big rooms from the results if you’re planning a smaller event
– 100 + (listings with max number of attendees more than 100 don’t appear in results)
– 300 +
– 500 +Thank you, hope you can give me a hand, this is a key thing for me site.
Perfect, this is great news!
Thank you Alex.He Alex, thank you for your answers. I think I wasn’t very clear.
1. I was talking about the process of adding an address in OSM being an editor of the platform. I signed as a contributor and will look more into it.
2. Great!
3. Sorry, I didn’t understand your answer. I was asking if it is or will be possible that the map system turns from Google to OSM when requests are about to reach the free quota (Maybe when Google Javascript Api reaches 27.000 requests or another number defined by the user).
I didn’t understand “but you can view the Google console to see what features area available”.Sorry for the troubles, I’ll appreciate if you can comment.
Kind regardsHi Kor, Thank you, I was just posting that I found how.
The only difference I see is that when adding a listing the Country, Region and City don’t autopopulate, as well as the map marker doesn’t go to address.
So if I add the addresses in OSM I will not have this problem.
– Could you tell me if this process is fairly fast?
– Are there another disadvantages of OSM vs Google Maps?
– Google Maps will switch to OSM when free quota is reached? (I read it may be possible, but haven’t found update for this)Thank you very much
Awesome, thank you.
Regards,
IanThank you Kiran,
I updated that I found a solution but now I see it was not posted, my bad.
Anyway, your code is better.
Thank you so much for the great code!Best
Hi Alex,
yes, seems to be it!
thank you for the fast replyJuly 20, 2018 at 2:36 pm in reply to: How to set Near Search to empty once user deletes the input? #439203Hello Alex,
Thank you.
I mean, user should be able to delete what he has written in the search, it’s like every site works. I apologize but I got a little disappointed by this 🙁Looking forward to hearing from you
July 19, 2018 at 4:46 pm in reply to: How to set Near Search to empty once user deletes the input? #439076Hello Alex,
thank you for your reply.
I think 3 would be the less confusing to users. The only thing is that this option/button would have to be in the search-bar, the most used and intuitive place to select user-search-preferences.
A button called “reset location” near the compass would be a solution.
if in Homepage take user to Homepage-Everywhere
if in Search Page take user to Search-Everywhere
if in listings -> Listings-EverywhereNice to hear about V2, but we don’t know when all addons and migration can be done (6 months?).
I think V1 deserves a fix for this issue, it’s important IMO.
Could I expect some help? Even the button only taking user to Homepage-Everywhere would be of great help.
Thank you for you time.
Hi Stiofan,
Eg. I have a CF called “Number of Assistants”.
I would like users not to be able to input, eg. -10 (no negative numbers).I gave it a go with the link you sent, but I didn’t understand it :S
Thank you
*Zero is ok (it will output “Not Available”)
Thank you Paolo!
Hello Kiran,
Thank you a ton, this works!!!
