    Hi Michael,

Thanks for your reply. Looks like your database is messed up. Perform a full backup right now and use a plugin like better-search-replace to find those ‘bad’ URLs and update them to the correct URL.

    https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/better-search-replace-plugin/

    Thanks!

We would be happy to take a look at your settings to see if we can find the problem.

Please be sure to have completed all the steps for configuration, and do check to see that your plugins are all up to date.

    Hello!

DRY RUN: 89 tables were searched, 321 cells were found that need to be updated, and 0 changes were made.

That was searching all tables for http://

You will need to remove all those from your database in the manner described in the documents above if you want to fix the problem.

It appears that this was done incorrectly in the past, so, if you need hands on help with this please contact an expert here:

Hi Alex… the site is on https://
    Does this make a difference?

When you say 321 cells need to be updated, you mean deleted or updated in a special way?

I am sorry, this type of support is outside of what we can do here.

You really should contact a developer to help you fix your site.

All of the help that we can provide about how to use the plugin is written out here:
    https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/useful-plugins/#bsr
    https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/better-search-replace-plugin/

The issue is that the site has been ‘moved’ from http to https, but not all the URLs have been changed. This is also described here:

    https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/faqs/mixed-content/

If the site is loading over https, then images with urls of http will not load.

This is a step ahead of your issue, though, because there are in fact broken URLs inside your database that must be repaired.

This is not a GeoDirectory issue.

Okay Alex, so just to make sure I understand that right. I would have to change all http: URLs in the database to https and everything will fine?

Btw… I am sure, if that is really the issue, because the shift from http to http was taken half a year ago. I started using WPGeoDirectory only 2-3 weeks ago and when we set it up, everything worked like a charm. But about 3-4 days ago, the preview images suddenly disappeared. So if the issue with the wrong links would be the reason… i would not have worked right from the beginning. Right?

Hi Alex and thanks for all the help you provided so far…
I just recognised that I had different settings for the WordPress Address (URL) and Site Address (URL) in the main settings of my WordPress site. The first one was still http while the later one was on https.

I just changed both settings to https and now everything is fine and the preview images are showing up again!

So it looks like the issue is solved!

    Excellent!

BSR catches that setting too, for future reference.

What do you mean with “BSR cateche”?

BSR catches, meaning that BSR can also find the values for that setting in the database, too.
