New licence / updates system info

    Hi Paolo

    My Profile page is ok now, but I am in the old system. You said I have to enter the OLD license key but I don’t have it because I made a renewal and I can find only the new one.
    What can I do?

    Hi @onegerman,

    you don’t need to update them individually.

    This is what I do and I do it for many more website than you 🙂

    Update core plugin 1st, then all add-ons together once the core is updated. Depending on server speed, it takes between 1 and 2 minutes per website.

    I believe there are systems that let’s you maange several install from 1 dashboard, but to be honest I have never tested any of them.

    Hi @f-fabri,

    in this case the only way to udpate for this time only is to manually overwrite the old add-ons with the new ones via FTP. At that point you’ll be able to add the new licences and update automatically from there on.

    Hi Paolo, thanks for the response.
    Sorry, I did not state it clear enough I meant the “Auto Update/Licensing” in the Directory
    see screenshot attached.
    Do I have to enter for each plugin the license details on each of my directory sites?
    The update function you refer to, I know and did already several times, 1st core, and then the others.
    I am concerned about the manual task to enter each different license key for each plugin on each directory site. I understand it is a one time entry, but still very time consuming.

    Hi,

    I know and I’m sorry, but we really needed to move to a better system and the best we found has 1 licence per product.

    However this will be a 1 time off thing. I just went through it and it is a bit painful, we are sorry, but we really had no alternatives other then stopping developing GD for a while to develop a custom system to sell it and that didn’t make much business sense to us.

    Not that much pain, it took me max 5 minutes per website… 10 websites should be less than 1 hour…

    Hi

    I also can’t update Maker Cluster plugin
    PCLZIP_ERR_BAD_FORMAT (-10) : Unable to find End of Central Dir Record signature

    I see new-type window but only with GD Buster add-on
    There are no fields for 2 other plugins which I have bought- Marker Cluster and Multylocations.

    At this site I see all the 3 licencies in MyAccount page.

    I updated manually the addons (not the Core) and it works: I am in the new system now so I have inserted the new licenses 🙂

    one more question: do I have to manually overwrite also the Whoop! theme?

    Hi Paolo
    I’ve updated Maker Clusters but maps are still not working on my website saloni.com.ua

    My multylocation plugin is of current version 1.4.3. But it was updated with previous system and I still don’t have field for licence of Multilocations on AutoUdate/License page. May it be the reason why maps are not working?

    I’m afraid to delete old version of Multilocation manualy because I have 3500 entries connected with 6 locations and I afraid that information about locations may be lost during this update. What would you suggest?
