Guys, this licensing thing SUCKS, and it’s not showing up on the purchase page. Why did you have to change it? Now I’ve wasted over an hour looking for the freakin’ licenses.

I don’t appreciate this. At all.

Usually you find your licences under profile > downloads but it looks like you are expired! so you would need to go to Profile>purchase history>view licences>renew. You only have to renew your membership and all your licence keys will remain the same.

The change was a necessity or we would not have done it… We are working with the developers of the licensing system to me it better (even though this is the most popular one in the industry)

    Thanks,

    Stiofan

Well, then something’s goofed up, because I just paid $60 for a four-month renewal. Invoice #143101

    Hi,

please check now, you bought a new subscription instead of renewing the old one.

Now you’ll have to change all licences keys.

    Thanks

I already input the license keys that were required, even if it took me an hour or more to figure it all out.

Now I’m going to have to rethink my plan to use this plugin for more sites in the future. This kind of frustration just doesn’t “vale la pena” as we say in Spanish.

    Stiofan:

One of the problems is that you have two distinctly different areas on the account side that have downloads and serials and neither are clearly marked (as of the last time I looked) for either system. If you have/had a purchase and a subscription, it gets even more wonky. So, when you add licensing issues on top of that, it becomes a mess for people to even describe the issues.

We understand you changed systems and also that things do have to change from time to time. The problem is that when you have to change, you have to give people both ample time to prepare for the change and a clear understanding of how it will affect them and the smoothest way to transition. As evidenced here, there is a lot of people that got caught having to transition during license changes, renewals, etc. which makes things even more complicated because it adds a shrinking constraint of time to the mix.

For all of us (developers included):

Change is never easy, for either side: developer or consumer. The key is having good resources around to both sides to aid in that transition. The other key is understanding, which is hard to have sometimes. The beautiful thing about software is that it is indeed software — it can change. While it does take a lot to change, it can indeed adapt to changing needs. That is the beautiful thing. The transitions can be hard, but with good dialog and patience on both sides and time to develop, good solutions can happen.

    Hi Fabrizio,

make sure that hosting finished moving your server before asking us to do anything on it. It seems like DNS are not fully propagated. See Stiofan’s message here: https://wpgeodirectory.com/support/topic/missing-update-notifications/page/2/#post-143873

    Thanks
