I do see what you mean, that the emails aren’t in the log.
GD cannot be network activated, it has to be activated for each site.
To continue with diagnosis, please provide a user with Network access to plugins and access on the sub-site, as well as FTP.
Please be sure to have completed all the steps for configuration, and do check to see that your plugins are all up to date.
