1. Context: I am on the Dutch version of my website and visit a listing, I then click on ‘business owner?’ (in Dutch ‘bedrijfseigenaar?’). Instead of continuing in Dutch, the site switches back to the English version of the page. I did translate all the texts in WPML > String Translation > geodirclaim. How to solve this?
Did you translate this in the PO file as well? We can take a look at it; please make a private reply with your site details and we will take a look at the Claim Listing translation issue.
2. I read all of your documentation, but I’m still struggling to grasp the concept of the translated urls. Example: the Dutch version of ‘Village Whiskey’. As you can see the breadcrumb is doing what it has to do. The url however, is now partly Dutch and partly English. As you can see in the 2nd picture, the category ‘places’ is translated into ‘plekken’ as it should be. However, the country is not translated. I did upload the new translated .mo en .po files to my servers and I did update the country in Geodirectory > Multilocations > Translate Countries.
Also, I believe it is not possible to translate states and cities, am I correct? And would this be possible using the customization services of the GD experts?
Country can be translated but only into one other language, not multiple: https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/translating-countries-and-map-directions/
It is not possible to translate regions and cities, correct.3. Is is possible to auto activate new users? Currently, when someone registers, they receive an email with an activation link. After they click it, they are still not able to enter the site as I (being the admin) have to activate the account as well in my dashboard. Is it possible to automatically activate accounts once the user clicked the link?
Perhaps this is BuddyPress? GD does not require activation or send activation emails. Do you mean the claim listing verification?
4. I’m also struggling with the -1; -2 extensions to my slugs. I did read the documentation on: https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/faqs/why-do-my-locations-get-a-1-at-the-end/ however, I cannot find the original slugs so I must be doing something wrong here. Could you please explain the steps I have to take to solve this?
It is a process to find them and merge them in the DB. https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/faqs/why-do-my-locations-get-a-1-at-the-end/ and https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/better-search-replace-plugin/
5. Situation: When a user upgrades his/her listing, thus fills in the new details in the add listing page BUT they did not pay yet. In this case I discovered that their listing was already upgraded on the back-end, while they hadn’t paid. Is it possible to let me upgrade listings after payment has been confirmed?
We can take a look at this too. Please confirm we can add a test listing to check it.
6. In my search results page, the map is zoomed out quite a bit by default (see picture). Possible to zoom in the default map a bit?
Try setting the map widget option for autozoom.
7. I have successfully linked my Stripe account to the WPInvoices application. However, I would like to offer my visitors the payment option of iDEAL (popular in the Netherlands). Stripe has their documentation https://stripe.com/docs/sources/ideal , but it is quite technical to me. Do I need the GD experts to customize and implement this or is it possible to do this manually inside the Invoices application?
There are plans for additional gateways, but we don’t have any timeline at all for iDeal right now, and even an estimate will need to wait until after GDV2 is released.

There isn’t a setting to limit users to one listing.
Have you already setup the Claim Listing Addon?
One thing you can do is create listings for your customers, and then simply hide the link to the add listing page (ie, don’t publish it in your menu).
Let us know if you run into any questions while you are setting it all up
OK,
each location page will have a URL. You can certainly create links to them to create a ‘drill down’ effect like that.
Have you added listings to the areas yet?

Hello,
we can take a look, just create a private reply with the details and we will check it out:
WordPress Credentials
WP Admin Login URL:
WP Admin Username:
WP Admin Password:Sounds good!
recently someone was loading something like 35,000 and that was too many so they had to upgrade their hosting.
It is much more a question of server power than limitations from GD.
In the case of using the tags limit in the Pricing package, this is actually a character limit, so, maybe you want to set it to 50,000. 🙂
Let us know how it goes!
Hello,
It is not recommended to use categories for locations.
Instead, add listings to each area (city/region/country) and then add a widget like the Popular Locations widget to your Home Page widget area:
https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/layout/#directory
https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/location-manager-widgets/Hello,
3. The detail page map is hidden because the tab is hidden at GD – Design – Detail (reported earlier here https://wpgeodirectory.com/support/topic/map-sticky-not-working/page/2/#post-419663 )
2. Listing page appears functional – https://rightcourse.com.au/courses/law/
1. Home page map is missing – added to content section, saved, then moved back to bottom section and it is working again.

Hello,
discounts (coupons) and payments (invoices) can now be found inside the invoices plugin.

Hello,
Both GD and WordPress generally will only allow setting a “Page” as the GD Home or WordPress static frontpage.
Here is a way some people have done it, though: https://wordpress.stackexchange.com/questions/30851/how-to-use-a-custom-post-type-archive-as-front-page
If you need help with that customization you can contact an expert here:
