Hello!
Geodirectory does not have a feature for redirection on login, and uses default WordPress behavior.
The link you reference does not look complete. Normally there should be a username like:
author/username/?geodir_dashbord=true&stype=gd_placeThis would take the logged in user to the page that shows a list of their current listings of type gd_place.
I recommend you take a look at your functions.php and snippets for any snippets that might be causing that redirection. For example, do you have a snippet that looks like this: https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/redirecting-the-login-page/
Try disabling your snippets and reverting to the stock theme functions.php to see if that changes the redirect.
If managed redirection for login, and improved profiles, if those are something you are looking for, we recommend you try our UsersWP plugin, which is free and available here: https://userswp.io
UsersWP integrates with Geodirectory to provide user profiles as well as Register and Login forms.

Hello! Please forgive my previous post; I think I tricked my own eyes.
GD does offer an “Admin Only” field, but this field is not hidden from the front end. Admin only fields are only editable by the Admin (administrator), but their contents are not subject to visibility restrictions by role or otherwise.
We had a discussion the other day on the forum talking about how membership plugins can be used for role visibility, you can see that here: https://wpgeodirectory.com/support/topic/i-want-to-restrict-s2-member-access-to-a-specific-tab/#post-427397
This reply has been marked as private.Hey that’s great to hear!
Glad you got it working!
Do add your site to the showcase at some point:
Hello,
the GD Home page is completely made of widdgets. If you can put your items in a widget, then it can be included in your GD Home page. If not, then it may be better to use a different page for your WP Front page, and set the GD Home as the ‘top’ of the directory.
Ads are a popular use of Widgets, and yes, you can add widgets to GD Home, Listing, Location, Search, and Detail pages:
Hello,
The parent “Master” listing is the listing with the price package, and that package does apply to all the franchise listings underneath.
Hello,
in this case a discount code can be used. They can be created at :
Invoicing – Discounts
Make sure the discount only applies to the right package, and that other packages are excluded by using the options for “Items” and “Excluded items”.
For more questions about Invoicing, please submit your topics to: https://wpinvoicing.com/support/
Excellent!
And thanks for sharing!
Shortcodes have their own sort options and defaults: https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/core-shortcodes/#listings
Great stuff happening, testing on features for next beta release.
Updates will be posted to https://wpgeodirectory.com/geodirectory-v2-first-beta-release/
Sounds very reasonable.
Glad you have something working for your site!
Login – It is a feature of Jetpack and can be disabled at: Jetpack > Settings > Security” and look for ‘Secure Sign On’
Theme License – Visit WordPress – Appearance – Themes – Select the theme (click on image), enter the license
The Geodirectory plugin on first install will create required pages. If they have been deleted, they can be restored at:
GD – GD Tools – Page Check – RunMenus area hard to delete, but, if you did, then you can quickly recreate them by adding a new menu, and then adding the GD Home and Register page to it.
The Geo Travel documentation describes how to configure the front page. Pay particular attention to the widget area names.
On first install, GD will add some example widgets to your GD Home page and widget areas, but after that, if the theme is switched, widgets must be added again. This is the case because GD is a plugin, not a theme. You could start with a fresh install of WordPress, but, that might save you only a couple minutes of adding widgets to your GD Home page.
If you would like concierge service with setup of your site, please contact a GD Expert: https://geodirectoryexperts.com
Add some widgets to GD Home, then set your site front page to GD Home. Then follow the remainder of the instructions here; https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/geo-travel-genesis-child-theme-overview/
GD does not offer features related to roles or role visibility, but we had a similar question and some discussion recently here: https://wpgeodirectory.com/support/topic/i-want-to-restrict-s2-member-access-to-a-specific-tab/#post-427397
Take a look and let us know what you find.
The settings for GD were incorrect. In order to use GD Titles and Metas Yoast must be disabled.
WP Permalinks must be set to “Post Name”. They were not. A redirect is in place.
For GD Permalinks, if meta for category and location is to be displayed, then category and location must be included in the URL.Somehow the map on your add listing page has been disabled. And there are no widgets on the home page.
Please turn off the redirection that is adding the category to the URL (before the title) and remove the code that is hiding the maps. Some form of redirect rule being run to customize the permalinks further beyond what GD does.
I have added additional test content on the category for Bridal Boutiques. You can check for it at :
Company Categories – Edit Bridal Boutiques – Category + Region Top Description
This is a feature of GD, and different from ‘meta’
Any page that is rendered by a GD Template depends on functional conformed permalinks. The issue now is to sort the redirect/permalinks duplication.
Please remove any customizations you have added to htaccess and disable the redirection plugins to discover what is causing the doubling in the permalinks.
