Have you tried the GDF Options menu setting?
After some additional testing it appears this is working as expected.
Are there items that are not working in that set of settings?You can use a plugin like Easy Updates Manager to disable updates for Supreme, or change the name so it doesn’t receive updates.
Could they be from a different CPT?
Can you add a listing to the category?

it’s true that the pin is required, and we do plan on achieving a workaround as you describe, it is on the roadmap but we don’t have a timetable for that.
