See image as to how the city suggestions looks for me in Chrome, FF and IE.
…the fact that un-checking the “Near Me” does not clear Near Me, that’s super buggy. Once this near me not clearing issue is resolved …
This is not a bug and there is nothing to resolve. Unticking or ticking a checkbox will not have any effect until you send that choice to the server by changing or reloading the page. Thanks.
You used cpompanylogo as the HTML variable name but did not change it in the code.
You also did not copy the first line of CSS.
Please check now. Thanks. This reply has been marked as private. It is not an opinion, that is how multi-language sites work.
If you want all listings to be available to all visitors regardless of language, you do not need a multilanguage site, but you just need to allow listings in different languages.Just like WP pages are duplicated in other languages, GD listings need to be as well.
See more info @ https://wpml.org/documentation/translating-your-contents/creating-translations-manually/If you want listings in more than one language, you need to add the listing in each language.
If you want English language places shown to visitors looking at the Italian version, you need to copy the English listing as if it is an Italian listing. That feature is only available for Supreme at this time.
But you can use the Location Description widget as explained here: https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/location-manager-widgets/#descSeptember 26, 2016 at 10:03 am in reply to: Looking to show a drop down of event categories only with location input field #273056I made sure there is at least one event in each category, so now they will show if clicking the “customize search” icon.
Have a look here: https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/supreme-directory-overview/#homepage
This reply has been marked as private. The Listings and Search pages do not have footers in Supreme, it is designed that way to enable the whole window being taken up by the map and the listings.
Events expire when the listing package expires, not when the date of the event passes.
To make past events disappear from the frontend, tick “Hide event past dates” at GD > Event settings > General.
That page is not a GD page, so I am not sure how you added the events there. With a shortcode?
Please post your URL and WP admin details in a private reply here, by ticking the “set as private reply” box when you post.
The link I sent was about how the search works.
If you want the location switcher in a widget instead of the menu, you can use the shortcode:
https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/location-manager-shortcodes/#tabTo hide the notice, try this: https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/faqs/help-i-get-a-php-warning-on-my-pages/
If you only want listings in one state, change country and state to the default only at GD > Multilocations
https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/multilocations/#gdIf you want to restrict searches to categories, you need to add that option using the advanced search, like you have done with “child friendly” and “pet friendly”.
“Also, when typing in the near field, the suggested cities show like a hundred pixels below the field.”
Can you give a URL of where we can see that?“Near” is not for cities, but for specific locations, like “Greensboro Coliseum”. But if you put only put in Greensboro without any further specifications, then the system will use assume you meant the center or Greensboro. If a visitor wants to find listings near 123 Main Road, Smithville, NC, the system will do that too.
If you think the searches are too wide, you can reduce the radius at GD > General > Search. You can turn of the “In” feature at GD > Advanced Search > Enable Near autocompleter.
You can change the Near text to “Enter a location to search”, then your visitors should know that if they want to do another search, leaving it blank will not reset things. You could
These two articles should give you the idea:
https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/server-requirements/
https://wpgeodirectory.com/making-your-wordpress-site-slow/The main thing is your server, a shared server will not cut it for 100K listings.
So it depends what kind of hosting you have a BlueHost. -
